@@thetravelcoaches There's a political reason behind it. People ( esp. North Vietnamese ) like and love romantic or love songs written by South Vietnamese composers during the war. There are songs from Vietnamese living in free countries as well after they escaped Vietnam. These songs are available only in Karaoke and government closes one eye on this issue. They don't say they forbid all songs but they do allow some songs. Do you know North Koreans who watch music and movies of South Korea will be shot?
