I think it’s okay to wear luxury items. I think it just depends on the situation and wear you’re going like you said. If I’m trying to be low key and not stand out too much, I tend to wear either my contemporary bags or my thrifted handbags. 🥰 I never thought about the midi skirt/dress trend and the financial crisis. I’m a huge fan of midi skirts and dresses so I hope it stays around 🙈 but I think it’s because I tend to dress pretty modest. Thank you for sharing! ❤️

I feel very strongly about going with people and having to tone yourself to match them. Growing up with VERY lavish taste, my parents always used to tell me dont go to family and ask for wine/champagne 🥂or if im invited not to choose a fancy restaurant. Then I would be the one spending a VERY shitty night because I made everyone "happy" but myself and I resent spending any time with my family. Ever since moving to Europe and I dont get to see anyone I dont want I feel so much lighter I do things the way I want and I was able to only include people who understand me and my sense of style, me wearing designer or buying a house isn"t because I want to show off but it's just who I am and that's it.

Interesting- I’d never put those two situations together? Fashion/recession. Interesting thought. As for platforms, it’s a no for me. Probably because I was around when they first came out and I wore them then, now I’m just too mature to pull them off 😂 Regardless of the financial situations in our country I think it’s ok to wear Lux goods. That being said, I own a variety of bags from YSL, LV to Mz Wallace and COACH so I always have what I feel is a situation appropriate vibe. Thanks for the insightful chat 👍😎

Hello thanks for your interesting thoughts ,I was very surprised when in 2008 they advised me to invest in luxury goods shares I thought at the time that a big recession is coming and is unwise but I was wrong !
