Eco friendly hotels keep tourism sustainable. I am glad that this is available in that part of the Philippines. It should be everywhere. I hope you keep environmental stewardship as part of your and Ave's advocacy. I do not know anything about the Bicol region so this video is definitely a great opening to that part of the Philippines. The drone shots showcase how green the surrounding place is! Beautiful!

Please check out SaN Benon in Irosin, Balay sa Uma in Bulusan, Bulusan lake of course, Subic beach in Matnog, Dancalan and Rizal beaches. Try sea food in Prieto Diaz. So many nice places to see in Sorsogon. Fresh pili products from Eva’s in Bulusan.

Beautiful place, but $140/night is a little stiff for a location outside of the Manila commercial districts; what does it include? The food looks so delicious - my wife is a Manila girl, but family origin was Bicol (Camarines Sur, Naga city). High ceilings (at least 10 ft) are best in tropical areas to allow for better air circulation. Used to be that the only way to slowdown a bike was to reverse-pedal slightly. With the covid virus threatening, please take care - avoid crowds, always carry a hand sanitizing lotion, minimize touching railings - e.g. escalators and stairs, door knobs, elevator bottons, even grocery and public market merchandise, and most of all money bills and coins: wash hands often and avoid touching your face. The problem with that hotel you don't wanna leave because it's so beautiful and you just wanna stay. I did that before and I had a valid excuse. Which was, I was pregnant w/ my eldest son. My husband teased me that the majority of our travels I just loved to stay/ hangout in the hotels. I admit only 30%-40% because I got so tired of our activities of the day like tours El Nido. Also, i'm saving money to buy land in Siargao and build a spacious container house for our retirement in the future. Never been in Siargao and our goal next time is to go there w/ the fam.
