Coronado is an island city in San Diego County, California. It is located across the San Diego Bay from downtown San Diego. Coronado lies on the Silver Strand, a barrier island connected to the mainland by a narrow strip of sand that averages 300 yards wide and 4 feet deep.
If you're considering moving to Coronado, here are some key things to know about the city's lifestyle.
* The weather is mild and sunny year-round. It's not uncommon to see people walking around town with their dogs, enjoying the fresh air and sunshine.
* Schools in Coronado are top rated.
* Shopping options include many upscale boutiques and can be found along Orange Avenue.
* The beach. The 1.5 mile stretch of sand that makes up Coronado Beach is one of the best in Southern California. The water is warm and calm enough that kids can swim without supervision, but not so warm that it's uncomfortable for adults (or even those who prefer colder temperatures). It's also wide enough that you don't have to worry about getting stuck behind someone else while walking along the shoreline--and there are lifeguards on duty all year round so if anything happens they'll be there right away!
* Picnic at Silver Strand State Park. Silver Strand State Park has over 10 miles of hiking trails through grassy hillsides and coastal dunes; plus there are plenty more activities such as horseback riding or kayaking if you want something more active than just sitting around eating sandwiches together under some trees with your friends/family/significant other(s).
Coronado is a great community for families. It's safe, with good schools and parks, as well as many activities for kids and adults alike.
For starters, Coronado has some of the best public schools in San Diego County--and not just because they're free of charge! The Coronado School District includes two elementary schools (one K-5 and one K-6), one middle school (grades 7-8) and one high school (grades 9-12). All four campuses have been recognized by California Distinguished Schools Program since 2010; this means they've demonstrated excellence across several categories including student achievement as well as academic progress over time.
In addition to excellent academics at every level, most students also participate in extracurricular activities like sports teams or clubs during school hours; these include cheerleading squadrons at both elementary schools along with junior varsity football teams at both middle/high schools.
The answer to the question, "Is Coronado a great place to live?" is yes. The quality of life in Coronado is very high, and there are many reasons why this is true. The city has beautiful beaches, parks and other green spaces where residents can enjoy nature; there are also plenty of restaurants, bars and stores where people can go shopping for anything they need throughout their day
