I live in N California near Sacramento, which gets very hot in the summer. One of the benefits of living in San Diego is the cooler weather in the summer since it's right there off the ocean, (guess that's common knowledge). I was in San Diego in Oct 2022, and thought it's a beautiful area. I went on a harbor cruise when I was there, both the north bay, and then to the south back under Coronado Bridge, which was interesting seeing all the Navy ships in the harbor. I then went on the USS Midway museum, and checked that out, which was worthwhile, seeing the inside of a Navy carrier. I was going to buy some food from one of their vendors, but once I saw their prices, it was too costly, but I did enjoyed my stay. Your dog is a Staffordshire Terrier? Cute dog.

West Vista Homes in Oceanside was just approved.

Moved here in 2005 from the Bay Area. Loved it. Got a nice big house in the valley, San Luis Rey area. My house backyard faces the SLRBP and that’s great for me since I’m a cyclist. But honestly all this development (I’m very near both of the two new developments along the BP) has gotten out of control. More traffic and people has given Oside a more crowded feel. I still love living here but wish they slow down with the housing building rush. And yes my house is worth a whole lot more but at the expense of less tranquility.

What do you guys spend your money on? I live in Chicago with 2kids and I make 75k a year and we’re in no dept and have a house. 290k is crazy

I would love to see Oceanside one more time. I had a studio apartment at 306 So. Pacific in 1975. $85. a month. That was a lot of money back then for a small apartment. I walked the pier almost everyday. Ruby's was a lot different back in those days.

As much as I loved SD and SoCal in general I'm much more happier here in Billings, MT now. I was getting tired of paying over 65% of my income just to have a place to live, not to mention all the other "stuff" going on in Cali. I went from just above 65% to a much more manageable 35% and a much more "breathable" environment, both physically and mentally. Not to say SoCal isn't pretty, it is!! it's just not as pretty anymore.

Right now I'm 21 boy, lives in Az for time being and working my way to see and if i want to go back to California, definitely y San Diego is my pick, my only problem though is is that i have to learn my budget there, getting a job that pays well, saving up to buy my first car, apartment room, food, gas, bills, and way more then more, honestly it's a lot of my mind and real stressful the more I think about it more, but by the end of the day this is what I want, this is part of my living y dream goals, love the weather Beach, trees, areas, city, and more there that I find worth to go back hopefully my plans work susessfuly 😢😢😢❤

I live in Phoenix and i am dyinggggg to relocate to San Diego. Even with an annual salary of 225k i don't feel like i can afford it even living inland. I need a house with a yard for my dogs, but that's really the only thing i have to have. Unfortunately i am not, nor will i ever be, a millionaire. So it just feels really unattainable for me 💔

san diego was the best place to live in the world in the 80's and 90's before prices went through the roof and you guys moved in. so up to about 2003 it was all good 500 a mo for an apt
