Trousers need to be slightly longer. Shorter length visually shortens the leg.

I think the longer length looks classier on summer pants, especially when worn with sandals. The reason I like this longer look is because of the way that the break balances the loose nature of the summer trouser with either pleats or with a drawstring waist. I think it is more of a classic look and will stand the test of time.

Hi Ali, you likely already know this :) but just in case... you can have a very thin rubber sole added to your shoes to protect them and extend their life. It also helps them from becoming dangerously slippery on wet or highly polished surfaces. Topy is a very good brand (I have them added to my Repettos, Hermes and Christian Louboutins); available in various colours (yes, including CL red!); and easily installed by a cobbler. I hope this helps extend the life of your beautiful new Hermes shoes.

Trick with white pants is to wear grey heathered underwear ( like the color of sweatpants) , white underwear still shows under white pants.

The Brunello slacks are gorgeous! The 1st & 4th pair of Ralph Lauren trousers looked really good, too. Love the drawstring trousers and the Hermes sandals🤩

Ralph Lauren really got mean classic cut game to them. The spacing on their pleats are just right, pleats that are too close to each other can mess up the silhouette of your hips. Also, their coats have beautiful lapels & perfectly spaced buttons too, especially their DB coats.

Another great video. Agree with you on the brown corduroys. I have an issue finding long enough chinos (also the thigh issue) with a small enough waste. I’m 6’3. You’ve inspired me to try a pair of linen trousers. Also, I like the white Brunellos. This is my first time hearing about that brand, so thank you. In terms of your question about the pants, I prefer the length of the trouser leg to be longer (but i'm also kinda tall). I think it’s definitely more causal and fits with the beach environment you want to use them for. It feels more chill. I love the sandro shirt. Hermes has nice shoes, sadly all of their shoes are too small for me. I like sandals but rarely wear them because I need support for my arches - I wear inserts. They do look good on you and the espadrilles are beautiful, very, very nice. - PS sneakers look good on you.

Cucinelli and Kiton along with some Loro Piana make up my wardrobe.. One of the things with Cucinelli in particular for me is a lot of the sizing depends on their specified fit such as : Leisure , basic etc...The clothes are an investment but the quality is so high and the styles are updated classics so you can wear them forever.

Longer trousers that break at the foot ☺️ LOVE the first round of drawstring linens and I agree the too large cream slacks are gorge and should be tailored if possible. I agree that the pleated versions of all styles are much more flattering.

As a matter of interest, linen blend fabric need extra room after dry cleaning or washing they tend to shrink bare this in mind when altering.

Gorgeous shoes. You can get sole protectors for the bottoms of your high end leather soled shoes. It will provide grip as well protection and prolong the life of your shoes. Really nice buys.

Those Brunello Cucinelli trousers are absolutely stunning! At nearly a 1000£ with further tailoring needed they are quite the investment though. Really like these relaxed haul video's. They are very informative too!

I picked up from the video that you did have one leg rolled up and one with a break. I do think the ones without a break looked the best. With yourself being the height you are too Ali. I feel as though a straight leg with no-break works well for your silhouette. However whatever you feel comfortable with, it’s definitely better to get a feel in person what would be right 👍🏽

I like the break. It's good to have a mix of both styles. It depends on the shoe too. I do like the cut and length of the off white Ralph Lauren pant. Sometime pants are too short, but that pair is good for the non-break look.

Skin tone underwear will almost solve the see thru effect. Why not have a couple of similar pants. You might ruin one and are stuck trying to find another...particularly if it is the wrong end of the season...LOVE the trainers...and all of your choices

Love the 2 draw string pants. The wale on the corduroy pants was a little wide. You can’t beat Ralph Lauren. Period. My husband and I order our beach wear from Birdwell Beach Britches in LA! No one does swimsuits like they do! I ordered the 4 way stretch 405 shorts and my husband the board shorts. We are 66 and no one needs to see MY 66 year old junk.😳Give them a try!… sorry… trousers…My American is showing…
