I did not know that the real real sold, candles and things of that nature. I’ve purchased Louis Vuitton, Chanel, and Tiffany and Company pieces for them before, but never explored past that. What a great piece of advice.

That's how soy wax candles look after cooling. The burn is not affected at all.

This candle would make a stunning match holder. I can also see this vessel house cotton balls, Q-tips and mini soaps and small incense cones. I would love a couple of these candles. After finished I would use them in my husbands office for paper clips and small post it notes or items he reaches for every day.

I live by Candle Delirium and popped in after watching this video. I tried REALLY HARD not to buy the Mad et Len Asphalt Rose after trying out more than a dozen high end brands. Nothing else was the perfect mix of masculine sexy and feminine sexy--and I did try other brands on your top list. I love your videos even if they kill my budget.

To my knowledge, rough looking tops such as that are usually 100% soy waxes. During production and before being sold, it’s heated on just the top to smooth out but will always harden to that rough texture between burns. With all that said, I think it matches quite nicely with that vessels industrial esthetics.

I know you are familiar with Byredo…how do you think the rose compares to the Burning Rose candle from Byredo?

I would say asphalt rose has a much stronger rose scent, almost like a rose absolute. Burning rose has more to its scent profile that pairs well with rose; imo its a smokey rose with other floral accents.

I found a distinct similarity between the complex scents of Trudon's "Madeleine" and Mad et Len's "Nightsouk". Difficult to tell them apart....and the Nightsouk is even more expensive!
