First time on your channel, thanks for sharing this! My wife and I are going in late September. What month did you guys go? Also, can you give me a ballpark $$$ price range for a private lodge vs at Kruger? We really want to make the most out of our honeymoon! Thanks again
@LostinAfrica2 жыл бұрын
Late september is a beautiful time of year in the park, if you are lucky and there have been early rains, the baby impala's will all have dropped as well. The original Lost in Kruger series started on 1st September. Ball park is a little tricky as there is a huge variety, and the rates are seasonal, but I would suggest emailing my sister (kerith.hulme@travelcounsellors.co.za) and she will be able help you find something perfect. The SANPARKS camps will always be less expensive, but it is worth spending a couple of nights in the luxury lodges as well!

Tim my man doing big things as usual. Big ups to Bianca picking up the trade and learning too. Super proud of you both. Thank you for another inspiring episode showing us Mama Africa. I have to commend you both for your bravery as well as organization skills and showing us living like this is possible. I’m excited to see you and your production continue to grow. Thank you more especially for highlighting the eco-school initiative. Raising children to understand the value of nature is definitely whats we need all over the globe. Keep going super stars!!! May the ancestors continue to guide and protect your path

Beautiful video ! Quick question - I am headed to Africa trying to figure which area to go to - out of all your experiences which is the best to see all big 5 ?
@LostinAfrica2 жыл бұрын
Hi Briana, honestly if that is your main requirement there is no area better than Kruger/Greater Kruger National Park depending on your budget. I have seen the entire big 5 between Skukuza and Lower Sabie a couple of times. If you want to go fancier, somewhere like Makumu, or anywhere in Sabi Sabi or the Timbavati.

Did you guys choose the “fly in” package? If so, was that to fly you out from your country? Or just to their nearest airport from South Africa?
@LostinAfrica2 жыл бұрын
We were doing a whole series of films in Kruger, so drove in! I believe the fly in packages normally fly you in from Johannesburg or Cape Town.

Hi mate I live in the UK and a visit to Kruger is my absolute dream however have a deathly fear of snakes and was wondering how much of a problem this would be?
@LostinAfrica2 жыл бұрын
Hi Samuel, I have only ever seen a handful of snakes in all the years I have been to Kruger. And never on foot or in a camp. So I think you will be ok, and it will be an incredible trip! Let me know if you need any tips while planning!

@@LostinAfrica Hi Tim I was wondering if you could help with the best lodges to book around the end of may time and the best people to book with. I was also wondering how possible it would be to combine Kruger with around 10 days in Cape Town
@LostinAfrica2 жыл бұрын
@@samuelhargie53 Hi Samuel, there are soooo many great lodges, it mostly depends on budget. Get in touch with my sister (kerith.hulme@travelcounsellors.co.za) and she will be able to give you better advice! Definitely possible to combine it with Cape Town, most beautiful city in the world in my opinion! :)
