Love that dinette table, brilliant. Moving the kitchen back is a good idea, makes the whole TT less crowded. Nice bathroom and plenty of counter space. Good kitchen counter space is very cool. The second entry solves any road mode issues. I like the fact the slide is a rack and pinion system. Good looking TT and 3/4 ton to error on the safe side with no question. Battery disconnect needs a box over it to protect it. Jayco really makes a great looking and built RV.

Awesome review. FWIW I towed a 7700lb gross rating travel trailer with a F-150 4x4 that I had done modifications to including air bags in the rear and improved brakes. In good weather and in less than mountainous terrain it worked (for reference I live in the Atlanta area). Windy conditions or long ascents/descents could be problematic. When it came time to put that rig out to pasture I made a point of getting a 3/4 ton just to give me the margin I felt I needed as we start doing more camping in the Appalachians and out west. Of course your mileage may vary but I wanted to share my experience. Thanks again, Josh!

Uncle Josh, I have always appreciated your work at giving us the best and honest opinions about, The Good, The Bad and The Ugly of all the RV's that you show us. If ever I can afford to buy a Camper, then I would most certainly drive all the way from South Alabama to Michigan to buy from you!! LA is what we call our home, Lower Alabama! LOL Thanks for teaching me all you have learned over the years! And, YES, we do appreciate you!!

I LOVE this trailer. This would be perfect for us. The U-shaped dinette gives us the ability to have our computer screens fade away from the inside for video conferencing. I love the NS bed and the DOOR in the bedroom. I often wonder how we’d get our old rearends out of an emergency window. The door is perfect for emergency and, as you said, Cracker Barrel camping. Love the closet in the bedroom, the TV/ fireplace in front of the theater seating, the kitchen, pantry, rear bath, and all those windows. I also like how light and bright it is inside. I almost didn’t watch because thr floorplan didn’t show theater seating as an option. Glad I stayed with it. Not sure if I blinked and missed it but an instant hot water heater would be nice. That vent on the floor in front of the sink is a pain but I guess it would be a pain anywhere. I want something smaller but this one is making me reconsider and I’d go someplace to learn how to drive something this big. We’d have to upgrade our tow vehicle though. We have to drive through some areas that can get crazy windy to get to some camping areas close by.

Just bought one of these less than a month ago. Ours has a table and chairs instead of the dinette. I am quite happy with the entertainment to seating distance, feels comfortable. Fireplace keeps it warm down to approximately 35 degrees before gas heat is needed. Floor in slide is a bit flexible, standard dinette would help stabilize that. Josh's videos helped make our decision on this, he was just a bit too far away for us to buy there.

Hey Uncle Josh, I hope that you're having a great day! I really love the Jayco White Hawk 27RB! I like all the different White Hawk units! They always have great space and storage in them an on the outside! I like that this one give you the big u-shaped dinette plus the small cup holder TV trays for the theater seats! I was looking at the cabinets an that is a pin stripe, distressed is where the paint has a wire brush or a comb is dragged across it leaving lines in the paint where it looks worn. I use to paint multi-million dollar homes. I think Jayco is doing a amazing job on all their interiors! Thank you Uncle Josh for showing us this unit and giving us all the information good an bad! I tow a travel trailer that is almost identical in size (minus a slightly less hitch weight) with a Toyota Tundra. I live around the Black Hills of South Dakota, so it is always really windy, and there is lots of elevation change. With the proper weight distribution hitch/sway control and payload capacity for your truck, I would say a 1/2 ton is totally doable. That being said, I wouldn't go more than 60-65 mph.

Those handles that bit your ankle... Change them out for a low profile or recessed handle. And, while your at it, change out the lower cabinet handle across from the dinette. Then a drop down shelf can be installed to lift up and extend (WITH A FLUSH MOUNT PLEASE) the kitchen counter top.

Nice video, thanks Uncle Josh! We were enjoying this one and loving every second of it until we saw the floor vents just as you were singing the "Saved Be the Bell" theme. Otherwise, stellar unit. We love the skylight. We love the windshield. The cubbies by the bed could be bigger than a little crack that would fit maybe a magazine in them. If we could design this one our way, in addition to those things we'd also upgrade the theater seat to have a retractable arm rest to ensure full cuddle compliance and, perhaps, replace the dinette with a desk/office space. Edit: I've been told to also add, "but we love you just the way you are, Uncle Josh, because you don't have floor vents and you have a great `windshield' on top of your head".

Hi Josh - This unit is very similar to our Jayco - which we tow with a 2021 Ram 1500, Our overall length is 53' (Trailer 33'), loaded hitched weight is 900 lbs and gross trailer weight is 7200 lbs. we carry very little in the truck and with full gas and just me and my wife in the truck our GCVW is 13,700. Our first season traveling in the prairies (we live in Canada) we were using a conventional sway control hitch and we fought sway constantly. Our second season we switched our hitch to the Hensley. Yes it was Expensive, However now that we have 2 seasons on it, I would pay double if needed. It was a total game changer. It does "Eliminate Sway" and if you look at your unit, your truck very expensive, your trailer very expensive. The Hensley (or Propride) hitch is the cheapest part of the setup and makes it much safer to tow. Traveling in high wind situations we are able safely to keep up with our friends in their Ram dually with a 35 ft fifth wheel.

We have a 22 WhiteHawk 27RB. Love the big Bathroom and open living space. Ours has the optional King bed which makes the bed room a bit tight would opt for queen now that we know that. I have an older Ford F-250 and a 2018 F150 4x4 equipped with the Max Tow Package. The F-150 handles the trailer fine but with the half ton you need to be mindful of cargo to make sure you stay comfortably within payload capacity. The 1/2 ton travels have been in the southeastern US (AL, GA, SC, & FL) Pulled it from east AL to Helen GA last week with no issues. One point to note is the 1/2 ton seems a bit “wiggly” on worn interstates (the ones where trucks have caused the lanes to have tire grooves)

Josh, I don’t know that I’ve ever heard you mention that “road mode” can also be important for “storage mode”. Having an rv with a cover on it and not having access to check on the bedroom can be a downside. Especially when there is a windshield that could be leaking that you can’t inspect. Just thought I’d bring that up for anyone that hasn’t thought that scenario through.

1) Nice camper. Nice sized awning. Looks as if it could’ve been extended to the other side of the door and window. Entering under the awning would be really nice. Can’t get too much shade. 2) if you want more to do you could always do videos on your used campers. Like you said, it’s not like you have enough to do already 😂 3) I take it that only “true sizes” of mattresses will accommodate residential mattresses? 4) To answer your question, Sterns & Foster as the best. I’ll take cash or check 😂 Another great video. Get some rest.

Ha - you got bit by the handles on the dinette - Many Jayco owners wind up replacing those with rounded handles… This is a GREAT travel trailer and great floorplan. The 25RB Feather is the little brother of this trailer and they share a lot of great features. Same bath and camp kitchen, same bedroom with exception of the closet the White Hawk gives with the angled entertainment center. If you have the budget, get the WH but if it’s not better enough than the Feather 25RB, you’ll be fine with the feather. If you’re handy you can install your own fireplace heater. Wrt towing - we towed our little brother Feather 25RB (6059 lbs empty weight) with a 2013 F-150 Platinum 4x4 3.5 EcoBoost rated for 10,400 lbs. We upgraded to a F-250 within 6 mos. While the trailer was within 80% of the half-ton’s tow capacity, it was prone to get pushed around by 18 wheelers. So with that experience, I would NOT recommend trying the White Hawk 27RB with a half-ton. Which is why we wound up going with the Feather. If we had it to do over again, we’d have upgraded the truck and bought the White Hawk in the first place.

I tow a Jayco 28BHBE 2017 with a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with the 2.7. My trailer loaded for camping has weighted between 7540-7296 on a CAT scale(no fresh water). I have towed all over upper and lower Michigan. I feel very comfortable and confident in my setup, using the Reese Dual Cam hitch. The truck has plenty of power for climbing any grade in Michigan, but you’re not going to race with it. I have over 30years of towing experience with every from a 48’ semi trailers down to a 10’ utility trailer. I will say that an inexperienced person or a person not willing to purchase a high quality weight distribution and sway control system, should not tow this length with a 1/2 ton.

We tow our 2021 27bhs Gulfstream Enlighten with our 2018 f250. When we originally purched our travel trailer, we towed with a 2020 Chevy Colorado. Technically, we were good to go with the weight of the trailer vs. the capacity of the Colorado. We quickly learned that just because it fits, it doesn't mean it should. Towing with the f250 is night and day easier all the way around. I don't see any reason to tow a travel trailer with anything smaller than a 3/4 ton truck. I completely agree when I hear from KZbinrs like you and big truck big rv, when you strongly recommended a 3/4 minimum truck.

Very excited, just bought one.😊 So PRETTY 😍 And yes lol, changing all the hardware on dinette and cabinets, ankle and hip biting...ouch, sticking out to far and very sharp. Havent used it yet. Keeping it at inside storage for a few months. Towing it from Fla. to a lake in N.C, parking and leaving it on a permanent leased lot that Ive been on a waiting list for nine years, and just got called. So I had to buy quickly. I will visit on and off a few times a year, so it had to be a quality unit to withstand being alone in the element's. Never trailered before. 😮 very, very nervous. Currently have a beautiful 24ft Born Free motorhome Ford F450 which is a dream to drive, sitting at inside storage that I wouldnt park and leave lakeside permanently. The critters would have loved the engine compartment and would have destroyed it, and not starting the motor often would not have been a good idea at all. Wish I could have bought from Bish's, but it was unfortunately too far away. But I belong to a lodge and I told so many of the members that live in your state that are snowbird's here, about your videos and Bish's. They all have RV's, so hopefully they will keep the dealership in mind. Was looking for something that had everything I needed, and would last for many years parked at the lake, even in colder weather. I went out looking w confidence and knowledge about the different manufacturer's from all of your videos. A manager from one of the largest dealerships in the country was trying to put me into all of the one's he needed to move off the lot, and no Jayco's. I spent over six hours with a new, very nice salesman, he had no experience yet, his second day on the job, so two mgr's shadowed him. His mgr's not listening to any of my criteria. Just kept trying to persuade me to buy basically the complete opposite of what I was looking for. The salesman wasnt familiar w towing capabilities yet and asked me how I knew so much about GVWR'S, and about all the details on different travel trailers. I told him I worked for Chevrolet and other manufacturers in marketing and sales for commercial trucks and tow recovery vehicles, and that I currently owned a motorhome. But explained that it didnt help me very much with the travel trailer industry. I had to do extensive research. I told him about learning from you, and also wrote down your chanel for him to watch, and politely suggested he watch all of your videos for a crash course on RV's, so that he could be well informed for sales, since he was new to RV industry. I told him while extremely informative, your also a hoot to watch 😂. The salesman was really the nicest man, I was hoping to be his first sale, he thanked me for having so much patience over and over again throughout the day. I told him every salesman has had their first week on the job, myself included, and it can be extremely daunting and stressful. Again politely mentioning your chanel for training.😊 Unfortunately due to the mgr's many tall tales about quality of other manufacturer's, which I knew better from you, and great deception on pricing. I did not feel comfortable at all buying from this dealership. I had to give up after six hours in 90 degree heat in an uncovered golf cart, looking at trailers w no a/c running in any of the units on many acres of property, it was turning me into a cooked 🦞 😂 Love all of your videos, you make it so fun and your hysterical, absolutly my fave rv chanel. You have taught me "EVERYTHING" regarding travel trailers. Thank you for all of your knowledge, Im sure doing these informative videos is alot of hard work, and is also very time consuming, considering you have a family and a full time job. You can tell you love your profession. I hope you realize how much you teach others on a daily basis that either have zero knowledge of travel trailers to experts looking to get info on the newest and best. So thank you very, very much Josh. Happy trails. 😊

Nice trailer. I don't like the way the water hookups are all aligned above the electrical inlet. A leak, backside more so that outside, has the potential of causing a short. I would think there is room to relocate them lower and to the left of the electrical inlet with the shower being there. I couldn't tell but it would be nice if the living area skylight had a shade. In fact for many of us here in the South I think it would be mandatory. With its length I would say a 3/4 ton even here in the flat land of the coastal plain. My 1/2 ton could handle the weight with ease but it is the length of the sidewalls and the amount of the frontal area that sits above the truck cab that are the issue. Even in moderate winds that is a lot of sail hanging out there for a 1/2 ton to try to handle.

Nice beautiful unit . I tend to think a 3/4 ton truck is a must have for a unit this long I’m sure a 1/2 ton could handle it but might have a few too many tight knuckle moment in any kind of hilly areas or sudden wind gust. I too much prefer a standard table and chair and a couples camper. Most couples are past the age of needing additional sleeping areas and prefer they comfort and accessibility of a table and chair. No sliding in and out. All in all very nice trailer as usual uncle Josh, you did a fantastic job of showing the good the bad and the ugly. Thanks again for a great video. ❤

Love this!! Im not familiar with the little tables in the theater seating, im guessing those come out? They'd be in the way if you're just wanting to relax. I have been waiting for an RV to check all my boxes and this one does: HUGE bathroom with porcelain toilet, U Dinette with free floating table, Fireplace and in the bed room NO OVERHEAD cabinetry!! Honestly the only drawback I see is the handles on the doors under the U dinette. This is now on my list for me next home away from home.

Love the skylight! While I love the idea of a bigger bathroom by it being st the back, not crazy about the 3:00 a.m. walk the length of the trailer. (I'm sure I'd always forget to close ONE blind.. 😂) I know many don't like the "walk through" bathroom, I consider it like an "en suite". 12".....😂 😂 😂 Good storage capacity. Good of them to include dinofa trays while already having a dinette. Colours are perfect! "The Dad bod toilet test". 😂 Nice lights in the living/dining space. But no "road mode" trips to the bathroom, and that step into the shower, no go for me.

Great work Josh! I own a 2014 Whitehawk and love the real wood look inside. There is not hardly one new RV that I like better inside appearance wise to the one I own. I don't care what color you paint the inside it will never look as good as the wood grain cabinets in my opinion. The distressed look I never understand. 3/4 ton for over 30’ (yes, I mean 30’1” and up!! lol) and over 6000 lbs. We learned the hard way. Is half ton doable? Sure, in certain situations (short, flat trips, no wind, etc). When we decided to go with a 3/4 ton truck the only thing even close in half ton was a F150 XLT with max tow (those options add weight on upper trims!), and even then the payload was just under 1800 lbs…but all at the cost of the F150 being probably the lightest half ton on the market. Would’ve been “legal” in staying within the GVWR, but I’m sure it wouldn’t be comfortable towing through the busy and sometimes windy Rockies!

@JoshtheRVNerd lol BTW thanks for your videos they have been incredibly helpful to me and helping me learn what I think I might have in my first travel trailer for full-time living, in Las Vegas NV lol. Summer time over 120° and winter time below 32° but nice enough to invite some chicks over and have it not look like a weekend trailer but also I'm 6'4 and the hardest part is a shower I fit in but I also need to have a seat in the shower. I'm a single guy in my early 30s and right now I help take care of my dad but they're moving out of state and I'm staying in Vegas so they are getting hooked up with some dealer auction prices and going to get me something under 50k which I've learned can be a lot of stuff especially if it's dealer auction prices but I just don't get to go with and pick. I was going to try to get my own truck to get a 5th wheel since my dad doesn't want to get a hitch in the bed of his truck but that's not going to be possible for a while. But when it's time for that maybe I'll have to go on a road trip to Bish RV and see what my options look like. Although the ultimate goal is EarthRoamer SX like so I don't have to stay within the RV parks but I can get away but the ultimate goal being over 7 figures I think I'll stick with the RV parks for a while. But I think it'd be cool if I could get a dodge 5500 crew can with a flat bed and a short 5th wheel, remove the axles from the 5th wheel and find a way to mount the 5th wheel to the flat bed. But I'm not sure if I can have slide outs and I'm sure There's a reason why earthroamer uses carbon fiber for the living area since there's a lot of flexing when off-roading. But have you done any videos of the overland trucks that are in that category? I think it'd be pretty awesome if they let me take one out for a weekend or week to play with and camp in. Your channel I would think has a big enough following.. You should see if they will let you do your kind of review on their models

Small world, I was just checking these out. I really liked the flipped seating in this layout, but she's a bit too long and the limited cargo capacity is a deal breaker. If the wife and I ever upsized from our 2205s it would either be a E2W Alta 2600KRB or a Delta 262RB or possibly a Cougar 26RBS. We only National / Provincial Park camp so staying under 25' makes it much easier to find sites and navigate the parks vs a 30fter. Keep up the great work and loved saved by the bell reference (we're the same age)

I tow a 31.5 ft. trailer with my F-150, and it's GVWR is 7600. I've never had an issue with wind, and I live in Utah and travel to Idaho and Montana with no issues, even in the hills. I've never had a sway issue, but I'm also willing to slow down and drive to the road/weather conditions. If you were careful, you could tow with a 1/2 ton, but you would need to watch your payload capacity. That tends to be where a 1/2 ton runs out of spec, long before the towing capacity. However, a 3/4 ton would be a better option overall.

Right now we have the 23MRB (6500 lbs) so I know it is another 1500 lbs but I am not expecting too much of a difference. Then shame on them for doing dishes when it's evening campfire time.
