When I shop luxury. Buy 1 or 2 things. I go straight to my car, straight home, and lock the door lol. You won’t find me going out to eat afterwards or walking into a bunch of stores with my luxury bags.

Yup. It holds zero appeal to me. Everyone has had a phone nicked. Gangs with knifes. Ram raids etc I live in a nice city where this does not happen

What makes it most scary is that people doing this are wearing ordinary everyday clothes, their faces uncovered, and not those booted up and covered. They know that the police and security are not going to stop them because it is now far too familiar.

Well there’s no point of arresting cuz even if they do if the government won’t prosecute, they’ll be out by the end of the day. Same happened in California and it’s just got worse over the years. It can take some years for people to learn about the policies and start taking advantage of them.

They’re not allowed to as the company can get sued, it’s there to just work as a deterrent, problem is many criminals over the years have learned about the laws and such policies and are now taking advantage of them.

I’ve been robbed in the past. My phone taken off me. Tbh I’m not a fan of stores taking Face ID. I think it’s gone too far, definitely get extra security but I don’t need more of my data being sold.

These robberies seem so easy to do and I'm concerned because they don't seem deterred by glass casings, where are the steal cages or even security personnel. Even so, the culprits looked as unlikely civilians; clean pedestrians out in the open. Crazy! This will definitely set everyone back into profiling, following the patron/customer around just by what they're wearing. In fact, it will be like Hermes; by appointment only and you see the bag when we can believe you're someone worth seeing the goods. LOL! Horrible!!

Until it’s been done to some folks, theft doesn’t seem to affect the population to the degree we protest about it….i have had things stolen from me a few times in my life and it’s the action of it that grinds my gear…the item itself is what it is but you can’t forget the action so shop safe and stop getting lax out here…rich ppl steal..poor ppl steal…there’s no cure to envy or jealousy…if you haven’t been affected by theft you won’t know why ppl truly feel offended by it….the worse theft is your innocence or loved one’s life being taken…the worst thing about it is that nothing truly feels like yours unless you went and bought it yourself 🔥….

I live in city where all my life I've had to keep chameleon eyes around me, you make living adjustments to the fact that you can get robbed anytime so you move accordingly by planning ahead. The fact that I think like a security specialist does toughen you up loads but this is a very sad way to live thanks.

The solution is to have luxury stores on each street all put in money for police. I do not mean diverting current police but employing new police specifically for this role. Security guards are useless. There needs to be a public/private partnership where high end stores can together fund new officers to work their street at night. It would be super effective and generally make areas safer at night too. The stores would not lose a penny and would probably be more profitable as a result. A 16 quid an hour security guy is going to do what exactly? Most UK cities are very unpleasant places at night with drunks everywhere, having a solid police presence funded by wealthy companies would be a win win.

Police isn’t going to do anything if government refuses to prosecute. They’ll just be out at the end of the day as cops can’t hold them over the legal amount, after that prosecutors choose their fate. Police are just to capture, whatever the legal limit for stealing is for that.

It’s not about poverty, income gaps or anything along those lines because the poor weren’t criminals to this degree 50 years ago. Having a criminal record doesn’t have the same stigma, and they can get away with it. Europe has very laid back policies when it comes to property crimes , and you don’t even have the right to protect yourself when attacked. Sadly this has spread to other Western countries, and now we all pay the costs. I

Cuz the rich have body guards, fences and gates to keep criminals away, crime always starts by attacking the poor/middle class first, which increases poverty in those areas. Rich are last to truly feel the effects.

Each bag should have a unique scanable, find my bag serial number, for example if 1000 of a particular model is made each bag in that model has a unique individual bar code and digital micro chip that is deactivated upon sale with the option of the buyer to have it eeactivited and linked to their name as the owner upon sale. That way in any theft situation the bags can be traced with any mobile or computer device.

I saved up money for a few months to buy a ZP, but it got scratched on the third day. I cried so much, and then my boyfriend bought me a bag from kislux for me to carry alternately. Anyway, there are so many bags on the street, so as long as others can't see it, I think it's fine. The thought is there.

One of my student told me a devastating story. Her best friend's brother was stabbed in one of the parks just for the Rollex watch. Seems that you should never wear anything valuable in London nowadays. I wonder how all these street fashion videos are shooted

In some cities and states it is, it’s simply because their cities prosecutors refuse to prosecute and bad policies.

Everything is relative, prices will go up, because they will have to pay more securities, insurance, etc. Or in some situations, there will be overflowing of stolen lux items, so prices may go down, what a mess.

Well they will make less profit, as Coca Cola bottle they maybe make 30 cents profit for example, so they would have to sell multiple bottles, just to cover the loss of one bottle. It gets expensive mathematically real fast.

There should be a way when the glass is broken the alarm goes off and after 2 seconds a metal gate with burgular bars slides down from the ceiling so they cant exit the store or the glass is broken and mase spray explodes immediately and actually maybe at night the items are kept in a vault

Whenever I shop I carry a large handbag and started to put the products in my handbag, for example if i buy a pair of shoes or small handbag i put in the dust bag and put it in my bag.

That's a good idea, I usually always have one of those reusable bag in my handbag in case I end up picking up food. But yeah, maybe I need to think of a technique for clothes shopping too!

@ yes , I’ve recently bought a Chanel clutch and what I did in the store was literally unbox the item and put the pouch at the bottom of my bag, so I’d be walking around with an empty shopping bag 😆😆😆 better safe than sorry!
