Luxury VS Economy - Kubota LX2610 L2501 Tractor Comparison!

Another title could be aluminum vs cast iron. I found out the hard way on my lx2610 that the rear end, gear box and more are ( you got it) made of aluminum. L2501 and l2502 are made of pure steel or cast. Lx2610 is non comparable to l2501 or l2502 once you look underneath. Just a heads up to anyone needing a real tractor, dont make a $26000 mistake like i did, did i try to fix mistake. I sure did, i told dealer i messed up and needed the l2502 instead of lx2610. Both tractors on lot but dealer said once we run credot on 1 tractor thats it Your stuck. My fault, not theres just wished they would have worked with me. They did not. So iam passing this on to maybe hopefully itll help someone make the right choice after knowing ALL the FACTS

I dont think you worry bout your rearend on your lx i have 2650 same as yours. Iv pulled trucks out of yard its pulled logs out of the woods that i thought no way is 26hp gonna handle it but it did and no damage. I have full ags. an loaded tires. I,v never heard of any problems with these rears. So i would,nt sweat it. Good day

If you are regularly loading at full height in a compact tractor then you are probably using the wrong machine. Half a ton at full height is pretty sketchy for a machine of that weight.

I think these are both very good Tractors for what they are designed to do. If you need to clear brush and dig you need a Track Loader. If you use a Tiller on these Tractors first then scoop out the loose dirt then you’re fine. If you want to dig with the Bucket in hard ground you will be frustrated. Know what your Tractor is designed for. Moving loose material, all day. Hope this helps someone. You can dig a swimming pool with one of these Tractors as well as using a Shovel. It’s the time frame involved that makes the difference.

Great comparison, thanks! Can both get a cab? Is it possible to not have mid pto on lx26? Which would b better for plowing snow with a v plow, attached to frame I assume is better?

a front mounted snowblower with mid pto is king

LX2610 has a cab model, and has mid PTO for a frame attached plow, Kubota makes some for the LX nothing for L01/L02 series tractors
