Good AI flight travel review. By the way, all the newspapers at the Business Calss lounge in DEL airport, (other than in English) are not only in Hindi but also in other regional languages in India. In 24:11, the movie screen that you had selected (8 movies), is not Malaysian movies but Malayalam movies - Malayalam is the language from the southern state of Kerala, in India. Air India has a dated product but as you know, it has the latest aircrafts on order and once they arrive, these old planes with their interiors will be phased out. Looking forward to a better airline in the future.

Actually, after privatization it's worse or same as before; no investment! They need to invest money in the last mile of delivery chain; which is glaringly true of all service sectors in India including medical care. Last mile individuals need upgrading of skill sets and commensurate salaries, otherwise experience from kerb to cabin ain't never never gonna get better! Most airlines in the world like this apart from new Middle Eastern Airlines. Nobody can compete with them. After having experienced their First & Club all Airlines including Singapore Airlines can't even come close to them- no matter how much money they invest in products and marketing 😢

Sorry but these seats look terrible! Many many better airlines with much better seats. I am an Indian and would love to support Air India but will not fly with them until they improve. Even their new planes will fall behind as other airlines will have better product overall.

Ask Boeing to Stop all other deliveries and prioritize Air India Then. Problem with Indians is they are Impatient. It takes time to slowly develope the Airline. It dosen't happen overnight, Staff Culture is Developed overtime , supported by Necessary Infrastructure additions ( Which Air India Seriously lacks because of Decades of Mismanagement) , There are multiple Financial Challenges that need to be Addresed. Moreover the Wide body Aircrafts haven't been upgraded since Decade from this year legacy fleet will be going for Overhauling and Refit which WILL TAKE TIMR unless you Point Gun on the Head of Maintainance Guys

New aircrafts are already coming and some old aircrafts are also going to get cabin refurbishment soon starting from this year. They have also leased some ex Delta and Etihad 777 in the meantime to provide better cabin facilities which are deployed on UK-US routes. Things like these take time in aviation sector. Have some faith and patience.

​Many airlines are waiting for newer aircrafts from both Boeing and Airbus..but in the meantime they still retrofit their older aircrafts and try to retrofit newer seats etc etc.... even after Tata takeover...there has been no urgency in cleaning the aircraft and or service and or retrofit and or your make sure that long haul flights have working entertainment systems and screens... so basically its just the same as before... The issue with Air India...while being old and legacy mismanagement cannot be used any more. Tata took over Air India many years ago and still has a horrible/ordinary/sub par... pick your level of casual service like the way Uber/Ola are in India... horrible. Air India will never be able to compete with Emirates/Qatar/Singapore etc. I hope to be wrong...but we all know India cannot actually do anything right no matter the gov and or corporations. They just like to speak smoke and bla bla blahhh all the time without actually executing anything that materializes for a long time on a consistent basis. Newer aircrafts does not mean that your "service" will be new. You can still improve service in the meantime with even older aircrafts. TV screens do not work, nasty toilets, horrible food and sub par flight attendants and service...for these things you dont need a new aircraft...you can instill these as a priority basis so you start creating a legacy passenger loyalty. The only reason ppl take Air India is because it has the cheapest price ..especially when you search for tix between India to Europe and India to United States/Canada..it has the cheapest tickets and of course the cheapest level of service.....and many Indians are always doing first time travel and look for a cheap ticket and this is what you get. Cheap and random. So in some ways nothing to even complain..because you get what you pay for. Air India will never be able to compete with Emirates and or Qatar Airways...will never be able to compete with luxury travel and Business class products and or Economy. I wish them the best ..but its too late...will always play "catch up" and never be able to leap forward.
