Braid with a Twist

Having hair nearly below my waist, I've tried several braid-based styles in an effort to both make it look pretty-and to get it out of my way! This, however, is a new one I plan to "try and to customize". I think it will take me awhile to achieve this look (I have a motor-neuron disorder that often makes it difficult for me to move like I used to), but the end result is so pretty that I'm sure it will be worth it! Yes-everyone tells me I should just cut all my auburn hair shorter to make my life "easier", but challenges make life worth living!

Hey Mimi. I tried this hairstyle for office today. I just added a twist to the twist. I did the twisting from one side all the way to the other side and then did a side braid. Looked lovely and people were trying to guess why I am looking so different. Thanks a lot :)

I have been doing my hair like this for a long time! I had just decided one day that I wanted a twist on each side and then a braid, so I did it and loved it and continue to do my hair like that! I have also done it so my braid is on the side, basically do the twist on one side so it wraps around to your ear on the other side and then end the twist on that side sooner, then braid as usual!
