I want to clarify guys!!! I have NO Problem with made in USA . I have several bags that made in USA and I see no difference in quality. What I have problem with WHY it doesn’t say on the bag MADE IN USA. WHY just paper tag, that some one can use on fake bags, can loose it etc. It is obviously LV Head Office Decision to do that!!! Question is WHY?!

They never say made in USA in the bags, the way you know is with the number code inside the bag and the first 2 letters is what indicates where made. I personally don’t have any USA made and I do have a problem with it. I prefer France, Italy and Spain for SLG

There is a chip in the bag that proves it is authentic. Ant LV store can scan it to prove it is an authentic product. They are getting away from the date tags.

Hi Oxana! I just received my new Mini Palm Springs (new version). It came with that same paper card. It does not have any Date Code tag. Nothing. I bought in on their Website. I called LV services and they told me that it was their new way to fight against counterfeit handbags. They are evolving to new methods to authenticate and distinguish their items. I took it to my local LV with my CA and she scanned it. It has some microchip or something hidden inside. There the info was that it was authentic. Made in Texas 2021. I was panicked but that is the new LV way to fight with all the replicas. Don’t worry! Your bag is stunning!!! Enjoy it!❤️

Hello! I’m in this same situation with a black empreinte leather vavin PM purchased at SAKS FITH at south coast plaza in Costa Mesa CA. What location has a scanner? I contacted the 1800# and the rep informed me there was no such technology available and this was last week

I agree that the lack of made in tag in the bag and the lack of the LV tag in the pouch is a let down. Like what if you try to sell the bag and someone is like it’s fake because it doesn’t have those things but it’s actually authentic! 🤦🏼‍♀️

I find it suspicious that LV has changed it's labeling on this bag. We do have regulations in the U.S. about how much of it has to be made in the USA for it to be marked as made here. My concern would be that LV is outsourcing too much of the bag production overseas and then just doing some finishing in the USA, causing them to lose the ability to put the Made in USA on the actual product. I do not work in the industry, but this is definitely a noticeable change as LV has put made in USA on the bag itself before. The other possibility is that they are eliminating all "Made in ____" labels now that they manufacture in so many different places. There are many shoppers who want their bag made in a certain country and LV may want to reduce this issue of customers demanding a bag that is made in just one particular place and eating up SAs times with checking each bag. Just some theories!

"What is the standard for a product to be called Made in USA without qualification? For a product to be called Made in USA, or claimed to be of domestic origin without qualifications or limits on the claim, the product must be "all or virtually all" made in the U.S. The term "United States," as referred to in the Enforcement Policy Statement, includes the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. territories and possessions. What does "all or virtually all" mean? "All or virtually all" means that all significant parts and processing that go into the product must be of U.S. origin. That is, the product should contain no - or negligible - foreign content." Here is the link for all the details. I just purchased this bag in the LV store in Short Hills New Jersey. I didn't notice or even look to see the "made in" tag. I guess for resale purposes as long as you have the receipt to prove that it's authentic, it wont be an issue. However if you think it's not made well because it's not indicated where it was made....all luxury houses are becoming cheap and skimping on their products. Of course their prices still soar. So if you love the bag and you know it's authentic then you should keep and enjoy it.

I just wanted to let you know that I just checked my tote and it has the tag that says "Made In France" on the front of the zipper pouch that is attached to the inside of the bag. It's not very big and it's dark so it's not very obvious. Maybe the totes made in the USA did not attach a label. That is weird. It should be there. Anyway, enjoy your "On The Go". I probably would have chosen that one too but it was a huge difference in price. A bit out of my range. Well actually they are all out of my range but I allow myself a treat once or twice maybe three times a year but I wont go over $2500 with tax!! I have to draw a line somewhere. Well that's what the husband says:) Stay well.

If you are 100 percent comfortable with the authenticity I would keep it. If you are uncomfortable in any way, I would try to arrange an exchange. But I personally love the bag. If you so keep it, I would love for you to do a comparison of this bag with your on the go mm and which one you like better! Good luck.

Apparently the new bags have the electronic chip that can be scanned instore and all the details and authenticity will show up on their computer(?) so they’ve gotten rid of the tags and date codes

Love the video! LV has stopped with the “Made In” tag for US only. I think it’s because so many people prefer not to have made in US products and return until they get France, Spain or Italy. Just my humble opinion!

Hello Oxana, Your bag seems to be aligned very nicely on the sides. I've seen several unboxings and pictures on line where the giant monogram flowers were completely misaligned, which would turn me off the bag. I think that's the main issue with this bag. The "made in" would not bother me, because, like you mentioned, there is a date code which provides that information anyway.

I recently purchased this bag in the UAE (Abu Dhabi) store and the label on the main bag says "Made in France" and the small tag in the pouch also says the same. So it must depend on the region/country where you purchase that will have these differences in tags.

I think LV changes up these identifiers quite a lot - i mean for these bags we will know that if it does show a place where it’s made then that would signify a problem. Quality first really in my opinion, and i don’t think location of where it’s made implies lack of quality. Great bag though

As long as you like the quality (I have received a couple damaged items from LV even if it said Made in France or Spain ) then I don’t think it matters that it doesn’t say the Made in.....on the bag but you have to do what’s comfortable for you:). The bags made in the USA will not will not be printed on the leather tag. It's not a new thing. My Pochette Metis from 2017 does not have MIU printed on the tag. I don't understand the big deal with this. Louis Vuitton clearly states that their bags are made in the USA, France, and Spain. I don't like that they are manufactured in Italy now though. I think this tote bag looks gorgeous and if there are no major imperfections I would keep it. Do you know this brand very well? It's common to get bags made in the USA depending on your location.

I just got my neverfull mm bag today. I placed an order online then pick-up from LV Rodeo Dr. Beverly Hills store. It has no stamp of where it was made but there is a small paper that says its made in USA from imported materials. Im glad i’ve come across your video or im losing my mind right now😂😂

This could be a great work bag (if I ever go back to the office haha!). Glad you raised the "made in" issue. I jusr ordered a DE key pouch and when it arrived it didn't have a "made in" on it. It also had the little paper tag. I didn't that about it, but love the piece. I also have it in Monogram.

I LOVE this bag. I purchased a brand new one via the website. Within 30 days of receiving, the straps started turning white on the edges, like the finish is coming off. LV is giving me a hard time and I had to get irate on the phone to get a Supervisor on the phone. I believe they should replace a $2,700+ bag that is brand new. I’m so sad and disappointed. In the US, made in the USA is a legal claim. There are requirements as to how much of the product raw materials and manufacture must be from the US to be labeled Made in the USA and sold in the US. US Customs and Border Protection can seize or fine if requirements are not met. In addition, the item must be marked to inform the consumer where the item was made. A loose tag would not meet the requirement for sale in the US, to my knowledge, so I wonder what system they are using for the US. Items are often marked differently for different markets to meet the individual country requirements. There is a whole system of attorneys and custom brokers needed to meet all the different requirements and sometimes even large companies make mistakes. Good luck to you

Love your Neverfull! I just received an LV On The Go MM Monogram Reverse and it is stamped on the inside leather patch "Louis Vuitton / Paris". In the pocket it had small papers with the style number, LV Made in the United States of imported materials, etc. I can't find any date codes inside the bag. Definitely different than previous LVs I own. ETA: I was preparing my LV Totally PM Damier Azur for winter storage when I checked inside and there was NO leather tab inside, "LV/Made in _" at all! I purchased this bag in 2016 in Paris at the LV store on the Champs Elysées, and this is the first I'd noticed the lack of inside tab (NOT happy!)

Hi Oxana! If the functionality and esthetic of the bag meets your expectation and you like it, you should keep it. As you said, the date code will indicate where it is made. Depending on the bag the “made in” can be on a leather tab or fabric tag, hidden or very prominent. Consider what is making your feel uncomfortable about the absent "made in" tag. Hopefully that will help you decide 😊

Hi! From Mexico, I have that same bag, mine was made in Spain, as far as I know this bag is not limited edition or collection according to the information that I have the US has their pun LV factories or workshops and they only import the items that they don manufacture in their workshops and they do not export any product either. In our case everything comes from Europe. About the pochette I think the reason why they might be doing it is because those bags already have the chip that allows LV to authentify the bag and is close to the “made in” tag, maybe that’s LV’s way to try to stop people from thinking that the pochette is a separate bag when is actually part of the bag just like the locks for example. 🤷‍♀️ I’m not sure. What I’m sure of is that this is one of my favorite bags and I already got tons of complements whenever I carry this bag with me, specially from my husband and he NEVER says anything about my bag 🤭

Beautiful bag! I live in the United States. If an LV item is made in the USA it will NOT say it on the bag. The small card you showed does say it is made in the USA. It only lists the country the bag was made in if it is not made in the USA. Thank you for sharing😊

i just got a nf limited edition fall collection . they now use micro chip. no tag inside of bag or pouch. when i got home i was looking for tag with serial number, nothing. my bag is made in france leather patch says lv MADE IN france. I WAS SO HAPPY TO GET A BAG MADE IN FRANCE. MY GM I BOUGHT 3 YEARS AGO MADE IN USA AND HAS SERIAL NUMMBER. BOTH MY BAGS ARE MADE BEAUTIFUL. I LOVE THEM SO MUCH. I LOVE YOUR BAG TOO. It's made in the USA. I bought a purse that was marked louis vuitton Paris and came with a card that said made in USA. Bags that are stamped made in france are directly from France. Anything stamped made in Paris only is made in the USA.

Your bag is gorgeous. I think you should keep it. Are you the type of person that sells bags later on or you keep your designer bags? If you want to keep it then I guess it won't matter where it was made. If I don't have neverfull yet, I will definitely get this one. I don't mind where it was made. I am not really concerned about it. As long as I know that I get it from LV boutique then that's all that matters. I hear people only buy made in france, Italy or Spain. It’s kind of smart they did that because that way many people won’t make return or be so picky about where the bag it’s made . I was at the store when a lady was checking a pochette mettis and she was trying it out and I heard when she told the sale associate that she didn’t want to buy the bag because it was made in the USA she wanted one made in France. Also made in France always sales for more in the pre loved market. By taking that tag out you don’t feel like your bag it’s any different that the ones made in the France, also now they have the microchip that has all the information where the bag was made. I’m also guilty of being that picky because if I’m paying hundreds of dollars and sometimes a couple of thousand, I expected to be crafted by the best artisan In France, who have been doing that kind of work for generations after generations they are already masters in the craft, not someone in California, I like the history of the brand and the craftsmanship history from its early days in France I want to feel like I’m getting that kind of quality. Sometimes I’m not that lucky.

Hey girl same with my bag I just called Louis Vuitton he said the bags are chipped now. So they can scan them at the store and know if they are real. Mine also just had the tag made in the USA. Hi Oxana, I totally agree with you and your fears. I do not know if in Europe there is/will be the same issue. Now the boutiques are closed...you can only buy LV bags online or through your SA. (I want /love personally the boutique experience). My last LV bag (Onthego) has the tag. I was also disappointed to see „Made in Italy“ because for me a LV bag should be „Made in France“ (my husband is italian!!) Paper tag is annoying it will be lost. Every detail is a sign of luxury and that is what we are paying for! However it is beautiful and I love my emprinte Pochette Métis. It is soft and so comfortable to wear next to the body. My Epi never full it is also blue inside. I love the stiff leather for neverfull. Opposite but that is what I like in a tote. Also it looks just like average black bag I think that’s why I like keepall in epi-as well

According to FoxyLV on Instagram the new bags will no longer have the tag you are looking for. I heard there’s an embedded electronic scan chip inside the bag that the store can scan and determine it’s authenticity. I know yours is real but I think they are doing this as a precaution to eliminate counterfeit bags and stuff. I think your CA can verify that information. Good luck and let us know. I just had to replace my reverse monogram Pochette Metis and it came without a made in tag also. It scared me to death so I called LV and went on the purse forum and both said this is the new thing, they come w a scannable chip. I can and will take it to LV to have them scan the chip in front of me. I’m keeping mine bc they will all be like this from now on. Hope that helps.

It’s the best version of neverfull in my opinion. If you are not comfortable with not having it tagged as made in usa, maybe you can return it for one that is made in Italy or somewhere else? My CA told me you can do that, you just have to wait for one. I saw one unboxing that has Made in Spain tag but doesn’t have the date code. The CA told her that it has the chip instead.

It was announced that moving forward , LV will no longer be including where the bag was made on the actual bag itself . This includes not only USA bags , it includes France , Spain and Italy as well ! Stamps will only have “Louis Vuitton Paris” for all countries ! New bags moving forward now also have a chip in the actual bag , so far CA’s do not know where the chip is , nor will the customer . I believe these are all moves to try slow down resellers ! Example : Fashionphile already has this bag listed for $4,115 , a $1900 mark up for a bag that was just released is really ridiculous . So people are buying just to sell . It’s the reason they have now created limits as well as bans for customers wether they are a VIC or not .I think it will take some time for it all to be implemented but this is all info that came from a very reliable source ! To me this NEVERFULL is just OK , I wasn’t fascinated by it all all . Then again I am just not a fan of the NEVERFULL , everytime I bought one I didn’t keep it . Instead I went with the Iena MM and it’s similar in style but with more comfy straps , a top zip and a front zipped pocket , I feel it’s superior to the NEVERFULL in every way , for me ! Many seem to love this new one though , if you love it , enjoy it for sure ! 🥰🥰

I’m sure LV would be the only ones to have the the technology to identify the chip , something I doubt will be done in the boutique ! I believe the bags still have date code tags though , however I have seen replicas with authentic date code tags in them , so that will no longer be a tell tale sign ! I feel along with their quality issues , it has made it even harder to spot a replica . All of the recent quality issues have truly held me back ! @@OxanaLV I totally understand the On the Go Tote , I have gone back and fourth with that one a few times myself . There are 2 things that hold me back from truly loving it , 1 is the red interior , I know many love that about it , but I think I would have preferred a black interior to make it more sleek . 2 , 1 of the things I liked on the bag was the long canvas shoulder straps , I loved how 1 was brown monogram and the other reverse monogram , then all of a sudden they changed the straps to black leather straps . I heard because there were many issues right away with wear to the canvas straps , so I get why they changed it , but that 1 little change made me rethink it enough to not purchase it . Then I find the GM a tad to big and the MM seems a tad to small , almost like it’s missing something . There were enough things to make me 2nd guess getting it , if I’ve learned anything over the years it’s that if I am 2nd guessing a bag for any reason , I won’t truly love it or use it ! The empriente NEVERFULL is very pretty don’t get me wrong , I love that they chose to put a blue microfiber interior instead of all black . I just know I’ve tried the NEVERFULL in so many ways ,1st time in the GM size in mono , wayyyy to big for a daily bag for me . 2nd time was Damier Ebene with rose ballerine interior , I was immediately afraid the inside would get filthy . 3rd was the Epi leather black with hot pink interior , like you I found it a bit to stiff and not comfortable enough . 4th was a limited edition V collection in the mono and hot pink , I became sick of the pink super quick and living in NY I need a bag that fits comfortably over a coat , I like a top zip for privacy and the NEVERFULL didn’t cut it for me ! I still love the look of a canvas NEVERFULL when I see 1 , just doesn’t work for me sadly . I prefer my Iena MM and my Tivoli GM for my totes ! It’s always so nice chatting with you ! KZbin algorithm is an issue lately , my favorites don’t always come up in my feed anymore , I’m so glad your video came up today ! So good to see you ! 🥰🥰

Since I got the Balenciaga everyday tote bag in black color in both xs and small, I am never going back to another neverfull again. For me, the Balenciaga tote satisfies all my tote bag needs. It has the perfect strap drop (unlike the neverfull- which is too short for me) and made out of luxurious leather in and out. If I spill something inside, I can just wipe it down and is good as new. That is not the case with the neverfull

In the end you have to do what makes you comfortable but why does the change in the tags make you so uneasy? If they dont have a tag saying where it’s made but it’s in the date code, does it matter? The question I think is do you like the bag? Since it came from the boutique you know it is authentic. There are many fakes out there. Some great and some poor but you know it’s real so does it matter that it can be replicated? It may make it harder to authenticate on the resale market but that’s not a worry for you with this bag. Do what’s comfortable but I think it’s a beauty! I wish they made it in the pm size.

I ordered this bag in black and received it yesterday. It says Made in France on the leather tag on the big pocket inside as well as on the leather tag inside the pochette. Both the bag and pochette have the country code as AR (France). The paper tags were inside the pochette but do not say Made in France, they just say Cowhide Leather, Man Made Interior. I went to my local boutique to pick up the NF in turtledove today. Mine just say Louis Vuitton Paris. So im assuming its made in USA. I looked underneath the the zipped pouch but no date code to be found. The small pouch has a tag but it just say Louis Vuitton Paris also. Strange. Under the zipped pouch i found the microchip tho! Btw my SA couldn't scan it...the manager couldn't scan it...it took the 3rd person to be able to pull up the info on the microchip. That's kina weird and i find it unsettling also. When i left i asked for the white sticker tage w/product code N name on it & they told me they don't give that away anymore. Hi. My bag was made in the U.S., as well. But, there is no tag inside my pouch (the pouch that came with the bag). It is bothering me. I purchased directly at the store, so everything should be authentic. Anyone else not have a tag sewn on the inside of their pouch- even if it’s hidden? Thanks in advance!

Hi Courtney. I have date code side my pouch, but no Louis Vuitton Paris 😭. On the bag it say Louis Vuitton Paris and date code under the large pocket.

Ruth Aranda I want to put you at ease. If your bag is stamped made in France it's from France. If its stamped with only made in Paris with a circled r - its made in the USA. Bags stamped made in France are no doubt from France....
