실 생활에 유익한 표현들 정말 감사합니다. 어쩌면 별 거 아닐 수 있는 사소한 질문입니다. 세번째 예문에서 야채와 과일이니, most of it 이 아닌 most of them이 맞는거 아닌지요? 마지막 예문에서 our provider는 단수이니, he/she(통화한 사람의 성별에 따라) said가 맞는 것 아닐지요?

문법적 으로 볼때 most of them 이 맞지만, 머리로 생각할때 배추나 상추 같은 야채를 한부분 먹고 나머지는 버린다 상상하면 most of it 이 말로 저절로 나올수도 있는 상황이네요. bonus answer: 그리고 한국말로는 야채와 과일 많이 쓰지만 영어로는 fruit and vegetables (fruit 'n vegetables) 가 더 많이 쓰입니다. No reason, it's just easier to say. 회사같은 경우는 조금 애매합니다. 보통 미국에서는 company를 단수로 취급하지만 (it's a good company to work for) 그 회사에 있는 human resources group or customer service department 과 통화했다 라고 할땐 I talked to them 이라 흔히 말합니다. 물론 통화한 사람 일컬을땐 he/she 라고 하고요.

you know how와 you know what은 비슷하게 생겼어도 많이 틀리게 사용됩니다. you know what은 보통 idiomatic expression으로 사용되며 별다른 뜻은 없고 정도로 의미이고 (Ex1), 또 그다음 나올 문장을 emphasize 하기 위해서도 정도로 쓰입니다 (Ex2). Ex1: My girlfriend and I broke up but We never had anything in common anyway. Ex2: Hey, I am really getting cravings for pizza. Anyone want to go out to lunch with me?

I suggest that 이 앞에 생략되었다고 생각하면 되겠습니다. 제안, 추천(suggest,recommend,demand, insist, propose)의 문장 즉subjunctive 에서 that다음에 오는 문장의 동사는 원형을 씁니다. Grammer in use intermediate 32강에 나와요.
