you can put the battery like a motorcycle tank , right on top of the main tube from the steering coloumn

With hub motors you can get more rpm if you overvolt them with a bigger battery. You gotta do some quick maths and check out how much watts can your controller sustain, but it should be pretty easy if it’s by a moderate amount.
