How well would a summoning pure work when bossing?

If by summoning pure - you mean literally no other combat stats... not good. You'd get xp from your familiar in constitution and your selected combat skill/s. You'd have to use the usual "level 3 skiller" tactics to remain the same combat level. Tactics such as what I used in my level 3 Jad video. If you are ok with getting xp in combat, the most common summon build would be a sum-tank (xp set to defence only), though you could try something different and put the xp in attack or whatever other skill you desire really. Sum-tanks are strong and the main limitations are the stat requirements to enter the boss' lair. The other limiting factors would be where there is a lot of dps required like when fighting the 3 igneous tokhaar during zuk - before the instakill, or bosses that heal... when your dps cannot overwhelm that healing. At most places, you should be able to succeed. It'll just take longer to kill bosses than on a main, of course. A sum-tank is a stronger build than my 3rd age druidic staff build - so anything I can do on that, you can potentially do it better. Best of luck!
