I finished The Cleaner yesterday, and have been crafting .300 AP nonstop since. Getting to use the 12 MCX .300s that I have laying around will bring me joy for the rest of wipe.

"It should be playable and fun for people that are just normal human beings." Thank you. As someone who had the time and energy to get good at some games but now has no time, I couldnt agree more. It's really annoying to know exactly what it will take to get to a comfortable position in a game and also know you don't have enough time. Tarkov had some moments where you could get budget runs but it just turned into fully kitted teams sprinting around the map with zero expectation of getting shot. So I'm going to stay PVE and hope they learn the difference between difficult and annoying.

As you said people don't have the time to play through the game every wipe. I feel like once the game fully releases and the no-wipe server is started, that issue will go away; at least partially.

after over 5 years playing this game, its just fucking boring, the quests are in the same order as 5 years ago now, every patch there's even more bugs that BSG just cant be bothered to fix (MP7 suppressor bug) if proof of that... its nothing to do with having "the time to play every wipe" its all about the game itself, and at this state alot of the playerbase just couldnt care less about the game anymore... why would you want to do work your ass off one wipe just to run into cheaters, die to bullshit scavs, ammo's make no sense anymore, nikita has been slowly killing the game since streets was teased

What would help is lowering the flea level cap as the wipe goes on. Make it 15 or whatever 1st month and lower it down to like lvl 5 by like month 3 or 4. Same for traders. Have level 2 traders automatically unlock after month 2 or 3 and so on for the higher levels of traders. The sweats can grind max traders early wipe but late commers to the wipe wont be entirely fucked. Also fix cheaters, desync, audio, matching times and how many clicks it takes to get a kit ready

When you have a full time career and a family... PvP is simply unplayable. Especially when you have that one good raid and get popped by a cheater. Then we not even playing for weeks.

I respect your philosophy and ideas for what PVP has done to the game and Tarkov community. There is however, an almost exact opposite piece of the debate. PVP being made available has actually made it easier for someone like me (has a FT job, family, obligations, etc) to actually play the wipes with much more ease. Before, I found myself dreading the fact that I’d have to get to level 15 all over again with garbage equipment. This wipe, I just played PVP till I got there and was able to start. Another point in my perspective is I can warm up on PVP before I slide into PVE and it has made it better for the average joe to become better than I would have without it.

I do plan to play PVP but once I figure out the maps and how to play. No point if you don't even know where the extracts are. If they smoked the extracts till lvl 15 you could at least know where they are or what you are looking for.

i like the spear even with FMJ, its recoil is smooth and it deletes faces If BSG would of taken the cheater problem seriously and actually worked on the desync issues, finally added after raid kill cams etc, PVE would of never needed to be a thing. Its their own fault and they know it. PVP is dead to me unless its the first like 2 weeks of a wipe, once the majority of cheats get updated and people start getting top tier loadouts its no longer fun for normal people. Even after like 5K hours of PVP over the years i just can't anymore

I enjoy pvp since I can go against other players and actually know if I'm getting better but pve is great fun, the only problem I have with it is when I get swarmed by a bunch of scavs because I shot once.

I PvE cause cheaters and desync, I'd prefer playing against real players, but like when I was last playing the cheating was at peak experience ruining levels. Rather just chill in PvE than deal with it.

I honestly don't understand why people still pay to play pve aside from playing with friends. The official pve with the pmcs being basically reused raider ai, the progression being just as slow and tedious as pvp, and the fact the game mess with your mouse sensitivity in every way possible just don't make for an enjoyable singleplayer experience.

Because it's enjoyable to go to work, the gym, eat dinner, and be able to play for 1-2 hours and have your progress stay. No matter if it's minimal progress you dont feel like you're playing for nothing and completely outclasses/outgunned by people who get to play for many more hours than you, when you just want to hop on and enjoy the gameplay of tarkov without the BS of PvP. With PvP I almost feel forced to choose to play tarkov to not be behind or have a life outside of some video game. Not knocking people who enjoy pvp and will never play pve, but just trying to give you a little insight into why pve is enjoyable for normal working folk.

Pve killed pvp player population unfortunately. I agree the game should be playable for casual players, but its hard to implement balanced progression and casual gameplay. 42+ pen ammo should be difficult to get, same with tier 5 armor. Otherwise theres no reason to level up traders etc. It’s easy to just flip a switch and give people pve but wish they found another way as it kills the number of players on pvp.

it was fine 2020-2021 back then, flea is free, you could just flip stuff for extra cash sometime, if you needed pen ammo and lvl6 armor you would've bough it and thats it, plus bitcoin farm made it easier back then every raid was a blast, every dorms fight felt like you're in the action movie and especially rewarding if you managed to win those

All those "regular" accounts are playing the PVE. SOOO dead tired of running into cheaters, or ultra-sweat chads when just trying to quest some. If they had better skill-matched matchmaking you'd see less people playing PVE. The difficulty for "normal" players that don't have the cash or availability of top tier armor/ammo is super out of wack too, because you constantly get dumpstered by people who play 24/7.
