I have a similar amp, its called a Lepy LP-838. It looks identical. I dont have the squeel or bad feedback noise coming from the speakers and i use a 12v 3A plug, it works and sounds great on my TV. I also have my Tanoy speakers and a 130Watt subwoofer connected and works effortlessly 👍

It's not the sound. It's the performance. Anybody can make a great sounding amp for as little as $3 these days. But it doesn't mean anything if it clips at 9 or so inefficient it can only draw 1-3 watts out of 12 volts. And it's class A/B amp in such a tight enclosure. Class A/B amps are inefficient and as a result they get hot which means this amp will eventually melt itself. So it isn't even designed to last lol.
@jonkaz7463 жыл бұрын
@Lassi Kinnunen 81 I wrote "And it's class A/B amp in such a tight enclosure". I was obviously referring to the possible heat dissipation issues. It's truly bizarre to misinterpreted a post that doesn't even require a high IQ to be understood and then attempt to correct the poster for a mistake that he didn't make. That's it. I'm just clarifying my point. I won't bother responding to your argument because you didn't even read my 1st post properly there's no reason to believe you're going to read my next post properly.

I have this amp but the speakers are buzzing when the volume knob is turned up a lot. The speakers are also hissing at any volume but this could be normal but is disturbing when sitting as close as i do at 80 cm from it. It's because the SNR is about 75, but it needs to be 100-110+ i think.

I use this to power 4 Dayton Audio bass shakers 20w pucks. It works decently for the bass shakers so I don't have to run them to my sub woofer amp which could quickly burn them. I plan on getting a Dayton Audio SA100 for them to get some more power soon. I only use the subwoofer out knob just for the bass shakers and considering I paid less than $15 for the this amp it gives my bass shakers enough to feel them quite well. If you are on a very low budget then this amp could be considered to get you by while you save up for a better 2.1 amp. But for just a bit more money you can get a much better amp out there.

I have one because the sound on my Sceptre T.V. Is crap. I have a Lvpin 838 pushing a Bose sub and a pair of jewel cubes..For the money they sound incredible. Not audiophile standards but good enough for this 70 Yr. old. Plenty of bass and all the volume a sane person needs. I have it at the lowest bass setting and mid range on the other 2. I have a wall switched outlet so it goes off when the T.V. does so maybe it will last longer. It's a few years old and I'm totally satisfied with it. The newer model has a remote so I'll be getting it if and when it goes out.Figures it's more expensive though.

Hey, nice video, man. I am currently looking for amplifier for these speakers(headphones): Frequency response: 20~20.000Hz Max. SPL at 1kHz: 115±3dB Max. input power: 50 mW Drive diameter: 40mm Driver unit material: Neodymium magnet Impedance: 32Ω What amplifiers would you suggest(under $20) for my headphones? I am also thinking of buying lepy lp-838 or lepai lp-838. Which one should I buy if we choose out of these two?

I am using my Kave without amplifier at the moment. And sound is pretty weak. So I do actually need amplifier in my case. Can you suggest some stereo amplifier for my headset, please?
@FFcossag8 жыл бұрын
I don't dabble in headphones, but you certainly do not want to buy something made to power speakers. Due to the way most cheap speaker amplifiers are built, they wouldn't even work for powering headphones, since headphones use a common ground for both channels. Get a cheap headphone amplifier.

2 volts DC shouldn't break speakers unless they are really low wattage. With 4 ohm speakers that is only 1 watt of power. You'll just hear a "pop" whenever you turn the amp on.
@FFcossag8 жыл бұрын
1 W with no cone movement to cool the coil is quite a lot to dissipate for even a reasonably large speaker. Nevertheless, DC offsets above the millivolt level are unacceptable from a performance standpoint.

Hi, i'm not an audiophile and I bought this amplifier to use it with my sony ss h771 6 Ohm speakers which i hooked up using the amp to my PC. Amp was cheap, less than 10$ and I thought it would be good enough for what I needed it. It works for the most part, but there is a white noise kind of sound coming out of them at all volume levels which is very annoying. It's different from the noise you hear as the volume is increased. Do you think better quality amplifiers that you mentioned will still have this problem?
@FFcossag7 жыл бұрын
These cheap Chinese amps can have all kinds of different issues, but I'd say that the VAST majority of them are better than this in every way. I personally like the Breeze Audio TPA3116.

Thanks for the reply, I think that I'm too close to the speakers. I'm sitting around 1m from them. Amp is good if you are using it from across the room, for example. Will try playing around a bit, with smaller speakers that I have lying around, and try buying a better amplifier in the future... cheers.
