Great tips. I've picked up some along the way as well. 1. Concealor - using dots. Hindash uses this method. Save product and still gives you coverage. 2. Setting Powder - Under the eyes. Using a brush. Joy Adengua does this method. Being over 30 this works well for me. 3. Lips - just like primer, I put lip balm on my lips before I start my makeup. By the time I'm ready to do lips the moisture has settled in my lips.

I remember year's ago I tried to put on makeup and as I was kissing my son goodbye,he said mommy why are you white??? I washed my face and went to bed,I don't know if I am ant better but I avoid it all costs and I think in two years I've put makeup on less than ten times.... but I'll try again as summer is coming so hopefully I'll learn something 🤞🏾.

This one took me back to the mistakes I made in my makeup application early in my makeup journey. I had oily skin, so I didn’t want to use moisturizer under my makeup. The thing is, when I started using toner, essence, serum, and primer/moisturizer, my skin stopped getting oily. All these products that I use as my regular skin care and under my makeup are hydrating formulas and my skin no longer gets oily which was my skins way of trying to hydrate it’s self. I stopped doing my undereye concealer in the v shape a long time ago because the concealer would takeover my whole face. I was far away from a natural look. I never liked contouring with cool tone shades, I just don’t want anything gray toned on my face! So, when some brands began to make bronzers for dark/deep skin tones, I was able to use the bronzer to bring back dimensions to my face. You are really going to help people with this series. I just got to the point that I didn’t like how my finished makeup looked when I was doing it the way we all did it (like KKW) for a while and I started trying different things until I figured it out.

I'm 40. I learned to do make up the old school way. Books and experimentation home alone. Lol! Ok Wayne Goss, Pixiwoo and Lisa Eldrige. Real old school make up artists. I still use little to no concealer and little to no powder. I have dry skin and a small face structure. Too much makeup in product or application overwhelms my face.

@@marleyhill34 It was just after my 50th birthday that I decided I wanted to learn makeup application and I logged onto KZbin specifically to learn. I find out that I love makeup and I wish I had tried to learn sooner. I’m 58 now and my daughter and niece call me for all their makeup questions. I’ve done both of their makeup for special events and photo shoots. Done a couple of my daughter’s friends makeup too. And it’s great when I am done and I can see in their faces that they like it.

Heeeyyy Diva … i have to admit I am guilty of some of these as well😳. It was until I started watching WOC MUA/MUI that I learned gurrrlll you are doing this all the way wrong. Lol. Thanks for the tutorial. My favorite part is “you have to use primer …. If you’re not using primer then I don’t know what to tell you…. I can’t help you”….. babbeee I spit my coffee out Lol. I need to findI an alternative to bathroom lighting to do my makeup. I do my make up really early before sunrise so there is no natural light. In the Pacific NW we may not see the sun for weeks at a time in the late fall/winter. 🤣

Glad you’re liking it. I use a damp beauty blender, not dry. A dry one won’t blend the products well. You can use a damp beauty blender for concealer too
