I purchased an LWRC M6 ic spr after I retired from the Sheriff's Office in 2016. I also have the 14 inch barrel where the flash suppressor is pinned and welded. In addition, I purchased a Trijicon ACOG 3.5x35 BAC Riflescope - .223 / 5.56 BDC Green Chevron Reticle, Thumbscrew Mount, Tritium / Fiber Optics Illuminated. I absolutely love the entire setup. I researched several types of riffles for about a year before i narrowed it down and made the purchase. Man I couldn't be happier. I've never wanted to be like everybody else, and with this purchase I'm not.😀

Very nice! LWRC always makes quality rigs. I absolutely love the FDE. Definitely one of my favorite rifle colors.

I just picked up the LWRC IC-A5 Rifle in FDE with the EOTECH HHS Green with 3x magnifier, and love it.

A good Geissele trigger, buffer spring, and charging handle are the cherry on top .

The 13.7”-14.7” P&W rifles are some of my favorite. If you pick a muzzle device you like there’s really no need to remove it.

Just got a 14.7 a5 lwrc, rifle has fast become my go to, geiselle super duty kinda taking a back seat to this rifle.

Nice gun. I own 2 LWRCs, 16"IC SPR (2016) and the legacy M6A3 DMR 18" heavy barrel. Each of mine are piston driven too. Never fired one of their DI offerings.

Hi there! Solid video and I’m a fan of the FDE finish 👍. Quick question: what has been your experience suppressing the SPR? I’ve read LWRC suggests the A5 if the end user is planning on suppressing yet on some message boards, the general consensus is the SPR is fine unless you plan to run suppressed as your default, which I’m not. Thanks

The sight tool is so easy to use on the LWRC Skirmish sights, which are the best buis you can buy, in my opinion. You do some great reviews and I thank you!

good choice for the color. I have the same model, but since I'm just a private citizen and not involved with police, mine is the 16" barrel. It's also the CA compliant one. I've swapped out the trigger, the recoil spring (didn't change the birdcage muzzle though, just the spring and buffer), and put a holographic sight on it. I agree with you, I love my LWRC. However, my opinion doesn't really carry any weight because I don't have much experience shooting other AR15s. How does this weapon compare to it's peers? like Daniel Defense or the Diamondback? I've never fired either of those guns and I hear great things about them. Anyway, thank you for the video, I hope you have a good holiday season this year.

Noice! I own a couple LWRC rifles. One 10.5” DI and a 14.7” IC A5. Both of them are better than the KAC and DD rifles I own. Added bit of info. You can send in the muzzle device of your choice and LWRC will pin and weld it for you for free.

On my lwrc, I put a lighter trigger, even 3 pound pull that has no take up or creep. And a mag pull stock with a more pronounced cheek well with added storage of 6 123 battery’s. That’s all I see this rifle needs

You are very welcome, my friend! I can give you a little more involved. Sig has a lot going on with a litany of military contracts, and they have to manufacture a lot of weapons. Not to mention it is a company that really loves to innovate and create. The engineers really run the show there kind of the inmates running the institution situation. So I do not think that they can put as much attention into each individual weapon that LWRC does. LWRC really focuses on materials and manufacturing. And I believe that you get a weapon that is just a little bit higher in quality. I would also recommend looking at LMT. Lewis Machine And Tool makes a weapon that when you hold it, you can’t believe the quality that you’re holding. Take a look at their Estonian reference rifle. Moreover, if you grab the LWRC and flick the flash hider, it will start to ring like a tuning fork! That is how tight the tolerances are in that weapon

Lwrci anodizes every gun regardless of cerakote or not meaning they anodize then put cerakote so you’ll have anodizing on your cerakote because anodizing adds strength so they do it to all guns even ones getting cerakote unlike other manufacturers

Lwrc ica5 owner here, no other AR feels the same as a lwrc. I own other high end AR’s and it’s something that’s hard to explain unless you are able to pick one up

Good video, and, great choice. If LWRC is smart (and they are), they never, ever sacrifice quality for price. Worth every penny, IMHO.

My first AR was a spike tactical build, I got a lwrci DI MLOK shortly after and fell in love with it, i recently picked up a lwrci IC A-5. Thinking of getting a Daniel Defense M4a1 next

I don’t recommend doing function checks with the lower removed. If you pull the trigger and let the hammer release, it will smack into the receiver. This could cause severe damage to the receiver.

yeah plenty of great ar brands out there, and I would agree some of the proprietary LWRC stuff is really nice and they make a good rifle. I definitely don't hesitate on recommending these, especially their piston models.

I personally have both of those rifles. But if I was pressed to only having one, I would pick the LWRC all day long. I think that LWRC uses better components and will last longer and perform better. And remember, I say this with a conflicted heart because I am a very big Sig fan.

@@williamdeforte3032 Yoo quick question, i was trying to do a function check of the spear lower with the upper removed. The safety on the semi postion and the trigger wasnt pulling. Is that normal since the upper is off?

Hello, I am considering purchasing an LWRC A5 and was just wondering if you had any experience with the A5 and if so, what do you think of it?

Hello, I do not have direct experience with the A5. However, It is the exact same componentry with a shorter barrel than the 14 inch that I had reviewed in this video. I do however have the PDW which is around 8.5 inches in length. They literally are the exact same componentry so I doubt you will have any issues with that rifle whatsoever

Tough question HOWEVER, if pressed, I would choose the SPR… short stroke gas system is superior to direct impingement…. With that said… the super duty shoots better

The only thing that sucks about LWRC is that their barrels are all heavy barrels because of the laws of their state.

I have decided on LWRC but on the fence between a DI or piston. I heard the piston type effects the accuracy due to itnterruption with the barrel harmonic’s. Do you know if LWRC has this same issue with there piston platform.

I will be honest… Every gas gun, whether it is direct impingement, or some type of piston, driven weapon is going to affect the harmonics to a certain extent… With his sad any of these top grade rifles, he’s going to provide a decent amount of accuracy, and most of these high-grade gas guns can’t even accomplish sub MO a accuracy at 100 yards But they will never compete with a top grade bolt gun

NEW SUBSCRIBER good review and knowledgeable sorta liked the smooth music on intro and exit just recently got the IC A5 , 16 inch Patriot Brown (short piston with 2 stage adjustable gas block for suppression) came from factory with Geissele SSAE, then put Eotech XPS2-0 and a 5X magnifer and vickers 2 point sling buy once and have something you don,t want to sell instead of buying something you know you won.t be happy with this may not be the best AR in the world, but it is one of the best good luck on your channel growth some call me subscriber 325 LOL stay blessed

I think my biggest grip with the LWRC is the fact that the rail isn’t a standard MLOK style system. MLOK is pretty standard and it’s pretty annoying that the rail segments are all proprietary. Other than that it’s a solid build

@Meltedchair513 they never are. But they're available if you absolutely want one. those foreguards are built like tanks, so you'll never need to replace them. And you can get them with MLOK foreguard fromm the factory. I have the proprietary foreguard on mine and have found there really isn't a need to replace it.
