I came looking for this because the sound effect of the caramel sauce while making a sundae for Queen Frosting was my favorite sound -- ever -- as a child, and I could still hear it in my head over fifteen years later. I just had to hear it again. I'm just sad there was too much going on at once so I couldn't just hear the caramel haha.

This, this takes me back! The memories of me playing this game on the PC by myself while the game graciously sends a computer player along to keep me company, and while playing the board game on the screen was fun, it was even more fun to interact with all the characters in Candy Land, like all those times I tickled Plumpy without giving him a break at 23:25 , I mean, it cracked me up too at 25:43 when Plumpy said something different every time he fell over and made a mess of those three plum pies, I also liked all those times when the Gumdrop Mountains started falling at 34:09 and Jolly freaked out, that was hilarious too! Even the part with Lord Licorice's castle when you press the button on the Bat Machine so many times, and the bats would pop out and scare the heck outta him, as well as the part at 11:01 when you turn the lights off and it scares him too, as well as the part where a Licorice comes in through the "doggie door"; whatever that is, and one instance included Lord Licorice getting pied in the face, not to mention a burger flying out of the machine scaring him too! Ah, those were wonderful times playing this game!

He welcomed us inside his castle, he let us touch and look around, he even let us use his telescope, maybe he's not so bad after all. By the way, sorry about the lights. You know, I think I have a plan to save the King, if everyone in Candy Land working together, we can look for clues on who kidnapped the King, like what the kidnapper looks like.

This game brings me back memories from my childhood days, which is why I decided to install the game on a Windows XP virtual machine on my Windows 10 PC. The game seems to work, but the Hasbro Interactive logo doesn't pop up (though the audio works). The ImageBuilder logo doesn't display either. In other words, when I launch the game, I get a black screen UNTIL the Candy Land it's waiting for you part. Again, no problems with audio. I gave my XP virtual machine 3GB RAM, 2 virtual processors (CPUs), and 128MB video memory with 3D acceleration enabled of course. I made sure to install the guest additions (including Direct3D support of course). I also installed all the updates for Windows XP including Microsoft Silverlight, .NET Framework 4, Microsoft Security Essentials, and more. I also installed the DirectX 9.0 End-User Runtime from the Microsoft Website. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Again, I'm only getting a black screen during the part when the Hasbro Interactive and ImageBuilder logos are supposed to be visible.
