I had the base game sims saved with some cc on a tiny USB flash drive. It had a green silicone dogbone with cowprint sleeve, about 2 inches max. I had sims and age of empires 2. I would carry it with me and play it on wtv school computer I was working on lol

I remember playing this game for hours back in 2002, and making giant houses with little to no furniture at first. It may be the hardest Sims game, but the magic it brings hasn't been surpased by any other version. Glad to see someone still plays it these days, as I no longer have the means to do so (I have the original CDs, but I can't play the game because my PC is "too new" for it to work).

You can actually download it and make it work. It‘s super easy! I have the CDs too and just like your computer, mine was too old. Works perfectly with the downloaded version

Inexcusable from EA to not have Sims or Sims 2 on Steam, GOG, and Origin. They only have the last 2, which are nowhere near as good as the first 2. Franchise peaked with Sims 2. It even had better animations in 2004 than Sims 4 did in 2014 down to microwaving food

I remember when my eldest brother would play Sims. He would have a household of 8 sims and he'd have them join the military career because it's the job that pays the most at the first level. It got chaotic fast.

I watch your video with a lot of nostalgia and the music is so soothing and I still love them so much, the noises of the game are also great in short I love this game since its release and I would really like to be able to play it again but I have a MacBook and I can only play sims 2 collection and sims 4 on it...

I recently started yet another rags to riches challenge on TS1, where you start the game with 0 simoleans (you have to spend the starting money on terraforming). The game is quite hard and this is always an interesting challenge in the sims, but so much fun! I will always love this game, never stopped playing.

Absolutely phenomenal. Too many people play this game and they are yelling for the camera and algorithm while playing it like they are speedrunning it. They constantly switch out stuff every 2 seconds. I like how you went for a very slow pace. I subbed and liked. Glad you will go for a Part 2 and 3 later as you said in a comment. I'd also be all for a similar treatment for Sims 2.

@@Deadsea_1993 my other Sims 1 longplays are much more slow paced than this one, I usually play on 1x speed (: but because in this household I'm trying to get a fair amount of career and home advancement, I used the higher speeds (otherwise we'd only get 2-3 in game days which isn't super productive). It's not exactly easy playing it as it was originally intended hah

I also have Complete Collection. I got a portable cdrom player that I connected to my laptop so I could install and play this game but… One day when I should play the game it didn’t work and than I found out that the cdrom player had broken the first disc. So I had to download a file so I could play the game on my laptop without the first disc. That is very sadly. But it is a fun game.

I only use vanilla items so that people can download my builds and as long as they've got all the expansions they'll get every item, and it also keeps from slowing or crashing my game (: usually I buy a piano instead of a TV because the fun from pianos increases much faster
