If you put a line on the middle of carola’s shoulder you’ll see that she’s at that level which the rulebook describes. I know that this rule is somehow misunderstandable but in this case it’s clearer that on the rulebook itself. Especially on the third attempt. On the other side, not a single person questioned Lya’s depth on squat. She’s strong, all know that, but she’s also borderline in depth every single time, as the hip does not seem to go down the top surface of the knee.

carola is playing it very dangerous on the bench with that ROM. TBH I can't see proper elbow depth on first one neither.

Yeah, the standard for the bench press needs to be even more strict. It used to just require the bar to touch the chest, a pause, and the butt to not leave the bench. The new requirement needs the elbow to be in line with the shoulder, it still looks like a 70% ROM. I am so surprised since the requirement for squats and deadlifts is so strict compared to the deadlift.

tbh only the 2nd wasn't at depth, the elbows should be at the acromion height, so technically her 3rd was totally legal.

She doesn't even arch that much. If you look at lighter weight classes in women and -66 or -74 males, you will find WAY less rom and more arch. This was just political.
