It's encouraging to believe that Christ is "already there (or here)", even in that place, of sorrow, of longing, etc., because His very person and mission for His children is to know Him thru the ups & downs, the peaks and valleys ... He's not going to leave us nor forsake us. If we miss the FEELING that He is THERE, it will never take away from the reality that God is present. We have, in Christ, everything for life and godliness ... we are simply growing up to believe this is so. That was a big awakening years ago, that our Lord doesn't move even if our emotions do.
