Great video of the thumper. I remember when the DFR had a 421 unit stored here. Wasn't there also a gala where there was a pullman liveried class 73. Wouldn't it be wonderful if they could get that 37 working again. In fresh BR blue she would look (and sound!) great going through the forest. I understand most of these diesels are privately owned though. Does anyone know whether the grey 31 will be ready for the gala in September?

i actually live here and i know where that 37 came from it came from Cardiff canton I think and they are working on it. Also for anyone intersested they are extending the dfr to cinderford but that wont be finished for years. and great video always nice to see prarie out and running
