I have been looking forward to visiting this place for some time. It has been entirely closed over the COVID period and even under normal periods only open Wednesday, Thursday and Tuesday during May. It is an extremely important site for its four periods of occupation and it’s unique Roman god that is related to the Irish Nuada and Welsh Lludd.
Part One.
it is a Gloucestershire site, an Iron Age fort, a sub-Roman fort, an early Roman iron mine and a late Roman temple. It is also a nice setting.
