Making his first All Blacks debut against Ireland in 2012 scoring an hat-trick, you can see how much Savea has developed as a player after 3 years. Once his highball ability was a liability, now he is absolutely solid in the air, his ball handling and offloads have set-up some superb tries, also his chip kicks/kick and chase kicks is now apart of his ever improving skill-set. His defense has always been rock solid, but also don't forget his immense strong running and ball carrying. His overall development and wide range skill-set at moment has been exciting to watch for the past few years as for a rugby player and for the All Blacks, can't watch to see him light up the stage next year for 2015 and RWC.

I've seen both Jonah and Savea and I truly believe Savea is acres ahead of him. Jonah is great because his size and athleticism was ahead of his his time but his defence and longevity will overshadow his legacy. Savea will eventually go down as a better winger than Lomu and if he stays healthy he will be known as the best ever.

Yeah but if Jonah lomu was 100% healthy like Julian Savea, he would have set a record that no rugby player can beat today. And one more thing you have to remember that Lomu wasn't 100% healthy like rugby players these days and that's why his career cut short.Just saying, but Savea is better then any winger around the world at the moment. peace!!!!!

Savea's skillset is much better than Lomu's ever was. Lomu was a liability in defence and was shaky under the high ball, further, he didn't have a big engine. Lomu is a legend but Savea is the blueprint for the modern winger who has little to no flaws.
