Lyle Owen did not want his property and home to be swallowed up by developers in Branson,MO. He wanted his place to become a city park after his death. It became controversial among local business people. Owen's land overlooks Branson and Lake Taneycomo. He got his wish some ten years after he died. It's now a city park.
