It was one hell of a race. Thank you for your coverage.

I agree with your assessment wholeheartedly! It was definitely Kishane’s inexperience that caused him to lose the race. However,Kishane has nothing to be ashamed of. He did well and I am sure he will do much better going forward. I saw the race on TVJ feed and they interviewed Kishane after the race. Kishane was disappointed with himself. He said he felt that he beat himself because he lost his form in the last part of the race which caused him to tighten up and, as a result, slowed down rather than go faster. Based on what Kishane said it reminded me of Usain’s race with Justin Gatlin--Gatlin was the favorite to win that race and he was trying so hard to beat Usain that he lost his form in the last part of the race and you could see that he was trying to dip too early and of course Usain won the race. If Kishane had relaxed and kept his composure the outcome would have been different. As I said before, he did well and should be proud of his achievement! Oblique was also very gracious despite his disappointment. He said that he felt pain in his groin and slowed down as a result. However, he was happy that Kishane was able to get a silver medal in the event for Jamaica especially since this is the first medal since Usain retired.
