Do you have any information on lipo-lymphoedema please. I'm 75 in UK and late diagnosis at local Hospice Lymphoedema Nurse's clinic in October 2023 of lipoedema since puberty which has now led to mild secondary lymphoedema. Wrongly diagnosed at first in May 2023 by GP who said it was lymphoedema.

My sister has oozing, leaking sores with her edema. The leaking is a yellowish color and the sores are making a line across the one leg. Are leaking sores a part of lymphoedema and what causes the leaking sores?

just listening to Dr.Campbell's lecture, and scrolling , find your comment , trying to answer (as a student PA), lymphedema generally doesnot cause eczema but according to your description is seems to be that normal dermatitis is manifested into an ' weeping eczema' and you also mentioned about a line (with no description available , presuming it to be a red line) it might be due to lymphangitis as well (inflammation so need to assess the heat, pain, redness, swelling loss of funciton) . so this condition must be address by both your GP and a dermatologist ( must be identified if the leaky sores are due to bacteria or any form of infection). hope this helps
