For me, the solo is the BEST melodic-rock solo of all time by George himself or others. Just brilliant.

I think you're right. This was George's pinnacle, before he started getting sloppy and not caring about being a great technician.

I agree 100% man! Those first 2 lynch mob albums are definitely George at his very best and most mature and expressive as a player and writer , such great guitar playing all over the first 2 lynch mob albums !

I was at this show too. Later in the show, didn't George play his whole guitar solo behind a gong that was on the stage? I remember wondering what that was all about. A couple of years ago I met him and while we were talking I asked him if he remembered playing the Limelight and he actually said, "oh yeah, that was the show when I played my entire guitar solo behind a gong". Funny that he remembered that...but he didn't tell me why he did it..he just joked about it.

That's the first time I've seen George let someone else join him onstage with a guitar in a band of his creation, other than the early live videos of Dokken before Breaking The Chains was released. Huge Lynch fan, and he seems to really settle in and go for it when there's someone covering the underlying rhythm while he solos. Thanks for posting this!

Yeah that was at the Limelight, I was at that show up by the stage. George is one of my all time favorites, he major-ly fucked up on the first chorus of Tie Your Mother Down that night :p a couple of years later I jammed with Anthony at his studio in Manhattan with a band he formed with the drummer from Warrior Soul and the rhythm guitarist from Piss Factory and told him about it, he said "Yeah George always fucked up" :p
@mrspeed1965 The singer's name is Robert Mason. I believe he is signing for Warrant now.

Once again Georgie can’t stick to the general melody of the original solo. And as usual it doesn’t come close to what he did on the album. I don’t really mind the outro being totally different, but the main solo must have at least the backbone or the original. This one is still good but not as much as the original. George is my favorite guitar player, but he often disappoint live.

Love this guys voice and the song, however the need to focus in on the Occultic-themed kick drum imaginary is annoying. Yeah, i get it....you sign a deal with whomever (whatever) the fuck it is in Switzerland that is the controller. Curious.....what kind of prophesies does OCT 2018 bring me my all seeing friend? And also....Robert MASON As in Freemason? Dude....hope you got something out it all.
