@@CenvarRoofingandSolar I do have a question. I am replacing 4 - velux c12 skylights. I was hoping to save some by getting the EDL flashing kit EDLC06 instead of EDLC12. That saves $60 on each skylight. It looks like Velux zzz-200 could get some additional step flashing pieces, but I don't know if the flexible underlayment from EDLC06 is enough to do a C12 skylight. Do you know how much flexible underlayment comes with the EDLC06 kit?

I’m not sure of the exact linear ft of underlayment that comes in the roll but there is a significant size difference between those skylights. It’s required by the manufacturer to get the correct flashing kits for the skylight sizes. Risking a possible water penetration probably isn't the best idea because skylights are already the most vulnerable to roof leaks. Also, if the wrong flashing kit is used and it is found out, then the warranty is voided 😬. Hope this helps you out!

Curb mounted skylights require a raised curb for installation, suitable for flat or low-slope roofs, and are easier to replace. Deck mounted skylights are installed directly onto the roof deck with integrated flashing, suitable for steeper roofs, and provide a more seamless appearance.

I have 30yo Anderson power operated skylights that don't leak that I know but don't operate properly. Is updating them expensive labor wise?

If we had to take all considerations out... we'd say around $1,200 per. Pricing factors to consider would be pitch, how many stories up is the roof.. etc.
