Wow, absolutely stunning work exterior and interior! Manages to put Cirrus to shame, and the OEM paint quality isn't even bad compared to some other manufacturers. No wonder they have a two year waitlist, they should expand their business! There's always high demand for good aircraft paint shops. Great to see people who love and care about their planes to this degree. Happy flying my friend!

Love the quality and effort you guys put into your videos. You ALMOST have me sold on the cirrus from my restored Piper Arrow but I just can’t get behind the required 10 year parachute repack and the cost associated with them. It’s a great safety feature but it’s an insane cost for an optional safety feature. I say “optional” because it’s the pilot’s discretion whether it’s used or not when the time comes; not an automatic deployment. I just can’t justify having to drop 20k for a repack when the system for 9.9 years is expected to work. Great looking plane and awesome content nonetheless.
@Elivate.3 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching the channel regularly! Yah I hear you about the parachute. It’s an expensive optional emergency procedure. But, if we ever go down, I’m going to feel it was the best money that could ever be spent! It’s all relative and hindsight I guess.

Thanks again for such an inspiring video. Looking forward to the next.

5:31 We see that happen around the prop with scratches on the spinner. In our shop, we use a modified Fiskars Double-Sided Self Healing Rotary Cutting Mat to slide between the prop and cowl to create a safe barrier. I would include a picture, but not sure how to do that. We use those mats modified different ways to protect the interiors when you take the seats out. It helps a lot.
@Elivate.3 ай бұрын
I would like to see that material you use. We use cardboard with a 1/2 circle cut out of it to be placed between the spinner and the cowlings before removal and reinstall.

This has really changed my mind on buying new vs upgrading an older model. In your opinion, what would be the oldest SR22T you'd consider taking through this process?
@Elivate.Ай бұрын
For me personally, 2009 SR22TN or 22NA with FIKI. That is only because FIKI is important to me for our missions. If FIkI is not important to you, then early 2008 so you can get G1000 and not need to worry or expense of swapping out Avidyne.

TN’s are actually better performing than the T’s in cruise by a few kts, run cooler and sip less gas. Just really tough to tune. Once tuned, they are superior performers that can last just as long.
@utah20gflyer763 ай бұрын
Generally when pilots think of airplane upgrades they are thinking performance enhancing upgrades. I should have known that if it’s a cirrus it’s going to be all about paint and interior. You did not break any cirrus pilot stereotypes. That being said your plane look beautiful and if great aesthetics was your goal you nailed it. Don’t take my comments too seriously, I fly a Mooney and probably exemplify the Mooney pilot stereotype pretty well.

@Elivate.3 ай бұрын
The ppf you see on this one adds about $800 over the factory kit. The paint correcting and ceramic are just under $5k. From what we have noticed with ceramic and tks performance, the ceramic helps shed ice quicker from the lift surfaces. Tks somehow glazes the wing a little longer than without ceramic.

@@ArazQizilbash because the cirrus needed an extra half turn to exit a spin to meet USA specs they had two options... Taller rudder which would slow the plane down or add a parachute that has way more benefits. Also a brilliant marketing plan. I own an SR22turbo and a Turbo prop. I never would have gotten into aviation, without my first plane having a parachute. It's not a tractor.
