I love the worship music you choose for background! So peaceful & encouraging! On thrifting, our shops here in central Oklahoma just aren't as nice as I see in other states & have gone up significantly, too. That said, some bargains & scores can still be had. I try to see thrifting more as an environmental choice, too, rather than just money saving. Lots of great tips shared & the air bnb was gorgeous! When I was a kid my mom would pick Queen Ann Lace and she would put them in water with different colored dyes. As the flowers sucks up the water the tops would turn the different colors. Kinda fun to watch

I think having the kids donate toys when they get "new" sends a good message. An even better message is them seeing you donate when you buy "new". Good parenting! :) I gotta get that slicer! (I can't find it on your Amazon link!)

Lynette, I really like week in the life vlogs like this! GOODWILL prices have gotten insane!! I barely go to Goodwill anymore, I usually find other thrift stores have better prices, but definitely the secondhand market skyrocketed since Covid.🤷‍♀️

One of the many cicadas that discovered Ericas house recently left its shell in her roses. She’ll be finding them in random spots all summer. From my understanding, both the shells and the adults are a treat for chickens. So she can toss them into the run as she finds them. 😂❤

✍Hello Lynette and Family...Like going along with You and the girls today thrift shopping. The thrift stores here in the Akron/Barberton area don't look like any of the stores you take us too. I've heard the prices have gone up as well. Oaklynn looks more like you every time I see her. Harper is so sweet and love seeing her share with you...that says a lot how children are being raised💕 It's storming here tonight ☔🌩 Just a thought...depending on how big a putting green you want...would that green imitation carpet some people put on a porch work and would it be cheaper? What beautiful roses🌹 I'd like to start getting my flowers for my patio and some hanging baskets but I'm having surgery soon to remove 3 cancerous spots on my bladder and there's still a lot of work yet to be done outside so it'll to wait a bit. I had not been in a thrift store in a long while. I was like you thinking well I could get new or new for just a dollar or two more at the department store. Wow, the older son has an amazing swing! I didn't see the younger one , but dang, nice swing, perfect follow thru. I live right on a golf course and I want a mega phone so I can give tips or say PERFECT❤. Golf to me is like pool, it takes strategy and skill and you get sunshine, grounding on the earth, and a walk all in one.😂

Wonderful vlog Lyn!! Love the idea for packing kids clothes. The air b & b was gorgeous!! I too think thrifting is a great outing, I don't care for the inflation when it comes to thrifting either🤨. Your video reminds me of the time I spent with my two adult girls when they were young. Now they have their on family. Enjoy your children, they grow up so fast. Look as if you can have a shade garden where you planted the mint. Put items in pots, a couple of chairs n a table. Nice getaway area once the weather cools. down.

Your father should come up to the Toledo area this past weekend. It’s the biggest song birdie weekend of the year. Thousands of birds stop at the sanctuary every year on the why to Canada. We have people from all over the country come and even from other countries. Try to remember this for next year. It would make a nice gift for him.

If youre planting into warmer weather its a good idea to cut/reduce the top growth, especially of soft herbs , by half . This means there's more bottom growth , root , than top growth, leaves and stems. Plants will quickly recover and grow nice and bushy when watered regularly.

The girls are so cute pushing their little carts.. Got to teach them to love thrifting early on😉😄 Love your dads bird sanctuary! My mom loved to watch bird, she had her feeders by the dining room window where she would sit and watch them. I understand that challenge of teaching the little ones to play together nicely, to share. My daughters little ones are 3 and 4.. the oldest gives his little sister a hard time bless her heart, they do good most of the time but he wants everything his way! Lol we just have to keep working with them 🤷‍♀️ The slicer is so neat! Thanks for the link! Me too on the chicken, I'm a thigh girl! Love the juicy dark meat of a chicken or turkey.. white meat is too dry for me. I don't mind the turkey or chicken breast meat on a sandwich, but otherwise i want my dark meat. Girl I feel you on the laundry🥴 We were out of town for 5 days, had to go back to our hometown, one of my husbands younger brothers (he's a twin) passed away. We actually just got back home last night. So we had a ton of dirty laundry and getting sheets changed, bath towels, everything. Thankfully its just 2 of us! That beach is beautiful❤ What beach Is this? Airwalk shoes used to be really popular years ago with the skateboarders, like the Vans are now. They were pretty comfortable shoes! If you have A magic eraser it should get the blue mark right off. I love using totes on a trip. I usually roll my clothes & it fits a ton in there. I've never seen the hack with using the shoe organizer then putting it in a tote, but that's an awesome idea! Especially for kids. Ohhh my..i LOVE this house❤ I love the older homes like this, just gorgeous! And the iron bedframes, so pretty.. I'm on the hunt for one for myself. Looks like your family had A nice time! I agree with you 100% regarding the increase in prices at many thrift stores. They have, like many others, got bit by the greed bug. It is so sad. And many items sit on the shelves/racks week after week. One early morning, my sister and I drove around back to donate only to find they were throwing a massive amount of items in the dumpster😮 It is pretty bad when I overheard a mother tell her child they cannot buy the thing she wanted because it is too expensive.
