I've never seen an Amish wedding. I have to say, it was ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!! I love that the families got in there and made sure everything was just right. Now, that desert table... This is a Mennonite wedding, Amish weddings are completely different (we live in an Amish community).

Beautiful wedding! Your sisters are all like a carbon copy of each other! One thing that I really like about the Amish is how they all pitch in to help family and friends! My family lives about 20 minutes South of Sugarcreek. I myself am in Tennessee, but I make a point every time I go visit to always go to Sugarcreek, Berlin, Walnut Creek, etc.. My aunt worked at Dutch Valley for the longest time.. I LOVE it up there! I was blessed to be able to go up and visit for 5 days for Thanksgiving!

Thanks for sharing a glimpse into the life of you family. May God continue to bless the Amish and Mennonite communities because if it were not for their kindness I likely would not be here today. My now late father was an orphan at age 13 during the Great Depression and it was your community that gave him work, food, and shelter until he turned 17 and could join the Navy which was his career for the next 25 years. And, he retained the values that where taught to him by your community which led him to help many in need like over the course of his life.

I just discovered you. We have so much in common. Even though I’m not Mennonite, my family lived for many years in Hartville, Stark County so I’m very familiar with Holmes County and your community. We shopped often in Hartville Hardware. And I’ve shopped in almost all the stores you mentioned. And , of course, we never missed a chance to eat at Der Dutchman. All the cabinetry in our home was made in Winesburg!! So we recently moved to Sarasota…It’s a very small world. And I’m so glad I found you!

I lived the first 10 years of my life in Ohio, and the past 46 years here in Florida. I met and married my husband and had my children, and now grandchildren here in Florida, but Ohio will always be "home" to me. Your footage of the area made me homesick, in a good way. I am originally from Cleveland, Ohio and I would travel down to Holmes County atleast 4 times a year. I am very familiar with Route 39. I also know East Main. I just love it there. I could spend hours in the Holmes County Flea Market and Walnut Creek Cheese. How I miss that.

Made me homesick. I love Boyd and Wurthmans restaurant. Awesome food. Holmes County is awesome. I have several friends that live there. Miss it. We try to visit at least once a year. Hi. I came here from Momma from Scratch Emily's post of you two on the beach. So glad I found your channel. The macrame wall hanging behind the dessert table is gorgeous! (as was the wedding). I live in Trumbull County and have been to Holmes a few times. Stayed at Donna's Premier Lodging and loved the surrounding towns, shops & restaurants. Of course now I need to plan a short trip in the spring to refresh my memories.
