I'm in my 70's my children and grandchildren are grown, it goes by in a heartbeat. I would say this to you, give yourself grace. You are a wonderful mother and your children will one day tell you this. Our children are very forgiving of our failures, just like we are of theirs, love is a wonderful covering.

Thank you for saying to count your blessings. I’m homebound and am having a rough time lately. I had a Dr. appointment by Zoom and am waiting for my nurse to come. I was supposed to be having PT but my insurance only gave me 4 visits. I’m going to try your attitude of gratitude as it could be so much worse. I’m able to be at home and I have the Lord. Always enjoy your videos.

Lynette, i have been watching your channel for awhile. Im 61 and from the old era, raised on a farm of hard working women because there were no male brothers to do the hard work so it was up to us girls to help our father on the farm. You take some time and regroup. You have been overworking yourself and I'm sure the weather situation in your area is an added stress You are a loving and dedicated mother, wife, and human being! Remember your children will not remember how clean and organized your home was before they remember how mommy and me took a day off when the house was a bit of a mess and ran in the rain and had a blast! Take it from me, all was organized and no fun..... I watch your channel because I can relate to your customs and hard work but only wish I had as loving mother as you.. Blessings to you and your family. Take care

☺️ thanks. I’m Trying to work on those things. But it seems like there’s always things that need attention - laundry - cooking - housework etc. but I have relaxed a lot since my early days of having everything so-so. Before I filmed this video I had actually just come back from a 4 day weekend with some mom friends and it was extremely refreshing. I have still been making a conscious effort to relax more and will continue to try and do it more.

Yes I completely agree to take the time to look for those little glimmers throughout the day! Since the beginning of this year, my word has been "gratitude " and I write down 3 things I'm greatful for everyday ❤and now since getting into that daily habit, I call them finding my glimmers throughout the day! One thing I do to slow things down is to take 10-15 mins yo go outside and soak up some vitamin d! I also listen to praise & worship music while I'm on my treadmill in the morning, and that helps to focus my mind even after reading my Bible and praying. I also do daily Godly affirmations also...🙏❤️🙌

On a spiritual note, I really like your idea of extending the grace that has been shown to us. That’s a way of thinking that I want to hold onto. On a practical note, using your pool fence as a clothes line is so clever. When you mentioned wanting to take the time to appreciate small, special moments, I like to think of those as glimmers. I try to “collect” them to be grateful for at bedtime.
@joycerapp2583Ай бұрын
Enjoy all the variety of homemaking u showed. I agreed with u time flies and the need to revalue priorities. I had to learn the house will always be there but this special time with the children goes so fast. Iam at the other end dear friends pass so quickly at our age but when they come I stop and spend time with them as much as I can and God helps me still to accomplish my homemaking. Thank u for that timely reminder. May u and all u family come safely thru the storm coming .🙏💖going up.

Your boys look so at home on the golf course!! Yes, time does fly especially when it comes to our children growing up. My hubby and I dealt with infertility for 11 years before we were able to have our son. He was a preemie, at 33 weeks, at 5lbs 5 oz -so tiny!! It seems like that was yesterday but that same sweet boy is now 15 years old and 6ft 3in...I literally look up to him. Knowing that we were only going to be able to have one child, soaking in all the moments -the mundane, the spectacular, the funny, the sad has been a huge focus to me as his mom.
