Lynk & Co 01 Infotainment Walkthrough

Showcasing the widgets, app shortcuts, some of the apps and the boot up time which is quite long.
Overall it's a system with great potential if the can keep it slim (speed& performance) and add relevant apps to the eco system!

Hello! I just applied to get one in September (hopefully) and so far I'm loving everything that I see from the car (and on your channel :) ). I've been wondering though: does the car has a wireless Android Auto or Apple CarPlay functionality?

Yes both and they both work wireless!

I hope Lynk & Co are watching your videos, taking notes and working on fixing the issues. Next up you could show how bad the "Highway Assist" actually is on the highway. Preferably driving the same route with the 01 and then comparing to any new-ish Volvo with Pilot Assist (which works identically, except it's good = works as expected), if you have access to one. There are a bunch of places where the 01/Highway Assist just stops steering the car (!), where I'm pretty sure Volvo/Pilot Assist would work perfectly. Slight bends on the E4 around Stockholm. First bend on Tranebergsbron, going from Kungsholmen. And many many more similar slight bends, going 70 km/h...

Thanks! Yes I will show the highway assist but would like to give Lynk & Co a chance with a software update since it, at its current state, is not usable. Hopefully it falls into the category of teething issues....

Booting up the system and having it connect to Carplay is painfully slow and feels cheap.

Hey thanks for the video! I'm in china right now and i own this car. they don't support carplay here and android auto only for huawei phones, it's called HiCar. have you managed to install third party apps so far? if so can you point me in the right direction on how to do it? thank you again! by the way i just installed a new update on the infotainment system and now that widget showing the tire pressure and powerflow is gone and there's no way to add it back, or at least i haven't found it yet!

How does it work with the internet connection in the car? Do I need a paid one or is it always there?

At lest for the subscription cars it is included.

Right now there are no real external apps for the car in Europe.

01:39 - My car shows the electric (and fuel) consumption on the "Trip statistics" page. But it´s very annoying that you don´t have statistics from when the car first started to roll or last was charged... or when you last reset the statistics. I´d like it to show three levels, "since car first was started", "since last charge" and a custom one, "since last reset". All of them showing both electrical and fuel consumption, of course. And I would like to see in the driver display the current electric consumption, only current fuel consumption is showed.

En sak jag tycker är väldigt oklart är huruvida det går förvärma och kyla kupén med el? Har den kapacitet klara det på vintern i någorlunda nordiskt klimat? (Många värmepumpar får ju problem vid runt nollan redan). Vilka funktioner finns i appen?

förvärmningen går på el men funkar bara när laddsladden sitter i. Den värmer/kyler alltid till 22 grader oavsett temperatur utomhus. Appen funkar inte för mig än tyvärr....

Can you start the car during boot up?

Yes the car start instantaneously. Also bringing up the rear camera is independent from the infotainment boot up.

I rented it once and it was the worst car i've ever driven. Really really horrible infotainment system. For example: I got a call from my boss. He couldn't hear me, i couldn't hear him. I parked the car, got out, closed it, waited 1 min and then started the infotainment system again. Then it didn't even recognize my phone anymore. No car play, no bluetooth. It forgot that my phone was paired and i couldn't pair it again. And it was not my phones fault - it worked flawless in other cars. It took forever to find anything and to load the profile. And one other thing: I tested the cruise control with lane assist in an other car. If i'm not holding the steering wheel, the car reminded my that i have to hold the wheel. It beeps, it beeps louder, it gently braked to wake my up, it strongly pulled the seatbelt to wake me up and than the car slowed down to a hold. In the Lynk & Co the car just told me, that i have to hold the steering wheel. Then it told me, that it deactivated the cruise control because i didn't hold the wheel. So the car just would let me die. Thanks mate
