Lynn was on Wheel of Fortune for 3 Episodes which aired in May of 1981. This is the third of the 3. Pre Pat Sajak and Vanna White, Chuck Woolery was the host back then with Susan Stafford turning the letters. In the middle of this episode, Wheel was interrupted for a special report of the Pope being shot.

When this was aired on NBC daytime, I did not watch this episode because I was at Sutherland Elementary School with Sally Case as teacher & Lynette Larson as coteacher.

When the "X" was called... you could tell the letters that were showing made her think the top word was "Exported" but she was nervous and didn't see the additional blanks.

This recording was made off KNBC-TV, Los Angeles. If "Wheel of Fortune" aired in the late morning there, then it was afternoon in the East when Chancellor broke in with this report.

5/13/1981 is the airdate here. The second round puzzle appears to be Barking Up the Wrong Tree. The speed up round puzzle, Top Secret, was a bonus round puzzle that went unsolved during a daytime couples week in November 1983
