Thanks for the incredible memories that you gave us, Pat.

Incredibly rare episodes from the Sajak-Stafford time period. Thank you so much for uploading!!! You've made a bunch of game show nerds like myself very happy.

10:17 - that cue used to be for going to commercials. 14:29 - Oh Lord, thank God she didn't buy that sofa! Yow, and I thought the 70s were bad! ...Adam Rich from NBC's "Eight is Enough" a year after its cancellation, and CBS' Knots Landing's Michele Lee.. This is a rare treat! Thank you for posting this. People don't believe me when I tell them that Pat and Vanna were NOT the original host and hostess!

Wow, it's so cool to see another daytime episode from that period of time after Pat took over as host but before Susan's departure and Vanna's coming.

THe reference to tonight being Oscar night, which was 3/29 in 1982, and the commercial referencing Easter, which was 4/11 in 1982, indicates a probable 3/29/1982 airdate

I LOVE the close-up of the puzzle board as Susan reveals the letters. What was she like?

5:51 that cue i would like to have for my work in the netherlands. If i need to tell a childrens story on stage, this music piece would be handy. Could someone help me out?

Michael, all of us appreciate this upload because there aren't many episodes from this era. My only suggestion is you change the title to omit "Wheel of Fortune" because Sony has been getting these episodes removed from KZbin. Maybe call it Wheel 82, but this is suggested just to keep the episode online. Thank you.

I’m guessing the Bonus Round was not a permanent addition on Chuck’s last week. It was present on Pat’s first episode but the way he mentioned the round this episode it sounds like it was a periodic event. I’m pretty sure it was a permanent fixture by the time Vanna came in.

This is from 1982, as they reference Oscar night "tonight", which was on March 29, 1982. Pat and Susan worked on WOF together from 12/28/81-10/22/1982. The airdate here appears to be 3/29/1982

Marielen was as cool then as she is now!! "Big Money, Big Money!" She's just as smart too - don't take her on in a board game! Love the dead insects comment (No! I kill them!) Plus, Hi Tommy! Hear the delight as she's picking out her goodies.... And I even enjoyed those commercials I used to watch daily......

Nice, more daytime wheel.

One thing I've noticed in these 1979-83 Wheel episodes, most of the men who wear glasses are wearing tinted aviators... and they look SO much more attractive than these stupid square framed cheap Warby Parker glasses that so many people are wearing today.

Maybe they sell those old glasses in an old fashioned clothes store.

Anyone notice how overpriced the BBQ grill is? 500$!!! A grill like that would sell for 300-400$ in TODAY'S money. And this was 40 years ago!

I love the wheel sounding like a rusty bicycle. The current episodes are boring and overrated. NBC needs to cut Today show back to 2 hours (move 3rd & 4th hours to MSNBC) so Daytime Wheel will be back to life opposite Price is Right with that boring & unfun Drew Carey.
@MorganNye2 жыл бұрын
Eric I wonder what pegs they used for the wheel from 1979-1983 to make it sound like that when it spins.
