Damn, I've learned much more in the last 2 days viewing Lynn's videos on the Golf Machine than the 30 years struggling with my golf swing. Hinging, flying wedges and alignments. Can't wait to try this on the range..Thank you, sir

This explains everything I've been discovering but couldn't conceptualize. Now I can take this summary and expound my progress and know why I can hit the ball so far. This is like adding water to seed and dirt.

my first time hearing you, Lynn...REALLY an impressive visual and accurate explanation

@secrettogolf I think that the "swivel" action is required to properly unhinge the left wrist in the downswing, without resorting to some sort of manipulation of the wrists. However, I think that you need to get this done prior to reaching the impact zone so forearm rotation is minimized through impact, and that clubface is squared to the ball by the movement of the club through the inclined plane. I think many confuse the horizontal hinging with the swivel, they are not the same thing IMO.

That depends on many factors. If you are doing an angled hinge there is NO forearm rotation back or through. Just a hinge and a hit. If you are going a horizontal hinge then yes you would need to rotate the face to square up.

Everything Lynn talks about is all based on the actual mechanics of how the body and club moves through the impact zone. Comprehend what he's talking about and you can begin to understand how to make YOUR swing work for YOU. Learn the different hinging actions, and you'll begin to develop a short game, as you'll now know how to hit a variety of shots around the greens. The place where this knowledge will really help people.

What is your handicap and swing speed?

The missing explanation is the potential movement of the hinge pin. The dialog is based on the hinge pin(s) being essentially static in position. The hinge pin, as described, is in the area of the left, or leading shoulder. In a dynamic motion or swing this pin location moves....and substantially in some good golf swings.

This represents everything. Ok so what is my Wrist? Shoulder? Torso? Hip? Feet? What muscles are "opening" or "closing" the door? How does that create speed? How would that help me to hit it straight or curve? Is this useful? Perpendicular to the ground? It has a feel of a roll? "Left arm wedge laying back here" "Feels like a reverse roll" Amazing that this is supposed to instruction 😆. Sounds like a drunk guy that limes to hear himself talk. Don't worry I know nobody will respond but thank you for trying to confuse me. Basically if I don't understand you I must be a fool 😆.

how does equipment factor into this? do heavier weighted shafts and/or heavier swingweights make it harder to hold flying wedge thru impact?

Can you repeat the part about the thingy you said before the whatever you said earlier? I know he's correct, I think, after I watch it 100 times and figure it out...

This guy really knows his stuff. I have watched a lot of instructors on KZbin and there is a lot of old wives tales pseudoscience golf instruction but not this guy. I doubt there is anyone out there who knows more about golf motions than this guy. When and if this guy ever makes it on TV he will make the Peter Kostis , David Leadbetter and Jim Mc Cleans look like rank amateur jerks. There is no BS pure logical instruction that can be backed up ,no swing in sync bull shit .

is the hinge action make with same plane line,different arm rolling or different plane line,there's no roll on arm's?

The golfing machine is not objectively true. The golfing machine is based on false assumptions. I do not have an instructor.
@beatzzz015 жыл бұрын
Actually, it is objectively true, sir. It attests to the many variables in the swing amounting to hundreds of possible ways to swing the club. However, there are only 3 imperatives that cannot be argued. Every single touring pro has these imperatives no matter how they sing. 1. Flat left wrist at impact. 2. Lagging club pressure on the downswing (no casting) 3. A straight plane line.
@saabtech35104 жыл бұрын
@@beatzzz01 Interesting I have seen footage where Mac O'Grady says that the flat left wrist was the one thing Homer Kelly got wrong, as far as it being an imperative. This was in the context of Mac explaining that the very strong left hand grip involves much less moving parts in the left wrist and arm through impact. He even names the muscles and ligaments involved. See Fred Couples for a good example of this. The grip is so strong that the left hand is not flat at impact. Interesting stuff.

Way to geometrically complicated to follow. Please simplify.

It seems like he is trying to take a preconceived oversimplified subjective ideology & make the golf swing fit into it. This reminds me when Protestants have a preconceived oversimplified subjective ideology then try to interpret the bible & try to make the bible fit into it.
