My 2021 TWA Routine | Defined Shiny Curls for Short Type 4 Natural Hair

I randomly cut my hair back in January and have been wearing headband wigs ever since. I hadn’t found anything to do with my hair and my twist outs don’t turn out right anymore 😩 I’m definitely going to try this!! It turned out sooo beautiful 😍

This is my favorite video of them all. I recently chopped my relaxed hair and I have type 4 a,b, and c all different all over. I can not keep it moisturized until now. I bought the denman brush and waiting for it to arrive in the mail. My hair was stressing me out. I could not get it to curl at first 😩 just frizzy and dry. A few protein treatments and Deep conditioner with a plastic bag fixed it. Now time to style it want my curls to pop and stay moisturized. I live in a town where the only black products in the drugstore were relaxers and Dax pomade. So amazon has been my go to.

Welcome back Carmen! I really missed your videos. You were instrumental to me learning how to work with my natural, short hair after my hairdresser butchered it last year giving me a TWA that I hadn’t requested. I’m now rocking my locks and loving them. One thing that I still struggle with is maintaining the definition after the initial set. The first day my hair looks great but after that my hair frizzes and/or flattens from my satin cap. What are your secrets to combatting frizz and flattening post day one? And congrats on your third.

Loved the video, in definitely going to try the TGIN gel for my curls. I have 3C type hair. Definitely going to try to find the Creme of Nature anti frizz spray and add the brush technique to try to get a more defined curl.

I don't think you need to cut your hair once you wet it it will shrink a little bit and you can achieve that look it'll just be slightly longer...

I just want to know who cut your TWA? Was it a barber? Your glasses look gorgeous with your complexion. The texture, health, and density of a person's hair play a major factor and will dictate this outcome. So happy you stated your hair type, from the beginning.
