I'm too emotional rn, especially after watching this show. I'm a single mum and I'm doing everything I can to give my 4year old baby everything she deserves. I remember sometimes back I overheard my neighbors asking my baby where her dad was, and to my shock, she pointed at me saying that 'ndio huyu baba yangu'. I've never felt this hopeless because I don't know what she could be thinking, or what her perception about life is. I have always considered myself a victim, that's why I haven't been able to move on though I don't have any contact with the man. However, this show has been an eye opener because I know the world has a lot in store for me. Thanks Lynn

But u are not alone my dear, is a journey of majority. As long as you are there for her that is enough for her my dear & I hope she will recognize you 1 day ok. Actually I find what she said to be the ultimate compliment. She could have said "sina baba" . Instead, her statement suggests that you have filled in the gap and indeed given her everything she deserves. Spoken by the adult child of a single mum who has been both mama and baba and who truly lacked nothing. You are a wonderful parent.

What a sober and beautiful story of speaking and owning you truth. Val's story resonates so well with mine. Ladies please, guard your mental health and well being, it is the most important thing. If someone (a partner) threatens it, (your mental, physical, emotional, spiritual well being) in a marriage, LEAVE! Don't stay for the kids, because you will be doing more harm than good to them. You may struggle in the beginning, especially if you were dependent on your partner, but it will be worth it in the end. God will see you through the storm, he's a God of restoration and love and he will raise you up once again to the glory of his name, and you will also give your testimony like Val, from a point of overcoming, healing, forgiveness, renewed hope and empowerment.

Hi Team LNN. You are a blessing all over the world. I watched every episode. What I love about this episode, is the respect that Val has for her ex. More than all after and during a Job experience God provided the love of her life. I could see the love in her eyes whenever Isaac’s name was mentioned. I have counseled couples and after introduction, I always say, ‘tell me about your childhood’ because a lot of the problems that causes divorce is the unknown/ unidentified trauma of childhood. Please seek counseling when you start dating. ‘Big up!’ Madam Lynn. You and your team are doing an awesome job: ministering to people in Kenya 🇰🇪 and around the world. May God continue to bless you.

Listening to you Val I could see some of me in you. I am making my exit plan because my son deserves better and I own up to the choises I made. I am seeking therapy because I am too broken handle it alone. You have given me hope. There is someone out there for me. But i need to work on me so I do not present him with the broken, bitter and miserable part of me.

Narcissistic abuse is rising to another Level in kenya or rather in the world. Lynn ,pls create a segment for Narcissistic Abuse, many people go through it Women and Men, and the majority don't talk about it. They die in silent through depression and suicidal😏😏

Story well told. Glad we get a picture of what went on. It's good to tell our stories so someone else going through the same thing can realize they can leave.

This lady is a powerful, kind and wonderful mother and wife. However, the ex is a true narcist still playing the game by not acknowledging his son he does not even deserve a hello let alone a hug stop playing his little boys' game. I wish you all the best in all you do and your beautiful family.

To the good step-parents, if you give your all to your bonus kids when they are little and they don't like you, chances are that they hear what people around them are speaking negatively about you. Kids will internalise that and it will come out in their behaviour towards you. Sometimes their own biological parents/ relatives will be the cause of that too. Just be patient and they'll finally come back to you when the scales fall off their eyes. #satified step kid here.

I love that Valentine has come to the show from a position of power & self awareness and not a victim. She has taken responsibility for her part in the failed marriage, I believe that's why she has healed and is healing others with her experience. I also love the fact that her faith in God remains unshakeable🙏🏾 Valentine you're so mature, intelligent &gorgeous 😍Your husband is such a blessing

Nigel, Nikita & Nathan....Wow!! All I can say, this is God ordained. Your pain was your gain. We bless God for the men who take up roles with so much Grace. Well done Val & Isaac. @Val, "Mubabas" handle business as should be, or should I say a good number of them get it right.

My take-home is the talk about the victim mentality and also being the right person before getting the right person for you. This was one of the best shows I've watched from lyn. The guest opened my eyes in ways that I can't mention. Thank you lyn for this.

There is a quote, trauma is healed through safe relationships. God is that first relationship, His unconditional love, forgiveness and redemption in Jesus all the time. Thank you Lynn for this story.

This is so good and educational @lynn..she is so beautiful, intelligent, humble. I have learnt alot. I recently walked away from the proposal of getting married this year bcz I feel that as much as I am old enough and the society is definitely asking questions, I do need to get counseling. Especially bcz most marriages of close friends plus relatives are struggling. It has really scared me. 🥺 Of course everyone's story is different. I still pray and hope for a healthy and successful marriage.🙏
