I'm a supervisor in the U.S so I also get to review job applications. Sometimes we review over 50 applications for one job opening One thing I would advise everyone to do when applying for remote jobs is to look at the job description, and make sure you include to include the top five job requirements in your resume and cover letter. These days A.I sifts through applications before the get to the person who decides whether or not you meet the criteria. A.I uses key words to make that decision. The organization i work has only about 15% remote jobs and they hire mostly people in America, so I'm just giving you a heads up.

Thanks a lot Lynn and Lorraine. Please sponsor me, am in dire need of a job, I have a nanny whom have been with me for 10 years and don't want to release her because she has kids whom we have been assisting with fees but right now am straining because its only my husband who is having source of income. Have always been praying that by the time my nanny is leaving I be stable inorder to set up a business for her. The bond they have with my kids its just so amazing, she is a second mum to my kids. Her kids and mine are best friends.

What she is saying is 100% true, I had been looking forward for flexibility and that is what remote work gives you, some companies hire even less experienced people for like $5 per hour for call center jobs etc , the market is competitive but I like how Kenyans hear of an opportunity and grab it. To anyone reading this, go ahead and try remote work even with your diploma or certificate or even high school cert, it is possible. Go on KZbin for basic skills then apply for that job. All the best.

This was so insightful. Remote work has been a game changer for me factoring in my visual impairment and being there to look after my babies. One thing I would say though is, it's a bit more challenging finding an employer who is fully inclusive and equipped to accommodate people with disabilities as this is an area that is often forgotten about in DEI. That's why heads of People need to seek out employees with lived experience of Disabilities to make sure that the work environment is truly inclusive, especially for remote work as it is the main choice for us for many reasons. Fantastic content as always 👏🏿👏🏿
@beyondthesavannah8 ай бұрын
I couldn't agree more. Yes, creating systems and accommodations for visually impaired candidates can be a heavy investment for the companies but in light of DEI and its accomplishments, it is possible. Thank you for sharing ☺❤

When ruto said there 23,000 Kenyans working for a leading American communications company Kenyans dismissed him. Its actually true and one thing about remote workers is that youll never notice them and you'll also rarely see them leaving their house.

As a remote worker, I consistently aim for tasks within my expertise, ensuring successful completion. Over the past five years, my remote work has consistently provided a six-figure income each month. I have no complaints about the results.

@@LaurineChepkorir I use Fiverr and Upwork. I have been using them for the longest time possible. They pay well if you complete the programming tasks well as per the customers' requests.
