To all our Turkish brothers and sisters, we love Linet in Israel and we didn’t get the vote to choose the artists going further. Liner is very loved in Israel and many loved her performances in X Factor. On the program Aviv voted against her in the first round and she lost to Shahar who received more votes from both the judges and the audience in the studio. In the last round unfortunately Linet competed against Eli Huli who is the judges favourite to win this show and Linet was eliminated after an amazing performance (not the one in this video). Tonight on the other show of the quarter finals Aviv tried to eliminate Sapir Saban. Aviv Gefen doesn’t like Arabesque so it doesn’t matter if it’s Linet or Sapir, this is not his taste nor preferences. We share the love for music, culture, food, and sending our friends in Turkey our love and best wishes 🇮🇱 ❤️🇹🇷

טעות ענקית הייתה להדיח אותה! לאף אחד מהמתמודדים הנותרים אין את הנוכחות שיש לה. בנוסף, בראיון שפורסם היום נאמר שהמנטוריות שלה בכלל לא עזרו לה בבחירת שיר לעומת המתמודדים של נטע ואביב למשל. די ירד לי החשק לצפות עכשיו בשלבים שנותרו.. אם וכאשר רשת יקבלו שוב את הבחירה, חובה לתת לקהל להשפיע לפחות בטופ 10. *אגב מקווה שבגמר יינתן לקהל 50 אחוז לפחות מהבחירה כי עושה רושם שהם מבינים יותר ממה שמתאים לתחרות לעומת שופטים כמו אביב או מרגול.

לדעתי העיבוד לא טוב בכלל. הליווי של הקלרינט מפריע ו"משתלט" על השירה בהרבה נקודות. וגם הביצוע הווקאלי באנגלית לא טוב כמו הביצועים הקודמים שהיו לה. חושב שהיא ענקית עם רפרטואר אדיר והיא כבשה פסגות שחלק מהשופטים יכולים לחלום עליהם, אבל זה הביצוע הכי פחות טוב שלה ששמעתי בתוכנית. אך עדיין האם זה מספיק לשלוח אותה הביתה? אני לא חושב.

You are right. I don’t know why they didn’t post her last performance which was amazing. I noticed you followed the competition so wanted to let you know that Sapir made it to the Final tonight. Her last performance was a mashup of an Israeli song “Pouch” and an Abo song in Turkish. I loved her performance. Hopefully the production will share it. Also, so that everyone knows, in the Final only the public is going to vote. No more judges thanks god 🙏 If you have friends and relatives in Israel this is the time to get them organised to vote for Sapir. No one knows who is the public’a favourite at this stage. So it’s Eli Huli, Inbal Bibi, Michael Ben David and Sapir Saban.

אני מבין את לינט. לינט ואנשים כמו לינט חיים בטהרה. לפעמים נשאלת השאלה כמה הוא יהודי בארצו, לפעמים כמה טורקי הוא יכול להיות במדינה שבה נובטים שורשיו של משפחתו ושל עצמו! אם אתה חי במדינה עם שפת אם שונה ודת אחרת, אתה תידחק לשוליים על ידי אותה מדינה. אתה הולך למדינה שבה אתה מדבר בשפת האם שלך ובדת שלך, ושם מודגש שאתה לא שייך לאותה מדינה בכל הזדמנות. זה באמת עצוב אבל נכון. זה ממש לא הוגן לחסל אישה מושלמת כל כך וקול ועמדה כזו מול אמנים חובבים כאלה. אני אף פעם לא שופט אחרים כזדוניים. ישראל ירו לעצמם רשמית ברגל באקדח. האישה הזו תמשוך תשומת לב ישירה באיטליה כחבילה מוכנה, כנותנת חסות, כקול ועמדה. זה יכול להשאיר אפקט של שירי מימון. אולי מעריצי האירוויזיון יוכלו להעריץ לה כדיווה. אין ספק שהוא יכול להשיג ציון טוב. אני חושב שהאישה הזו לא נבחרה כי יש לה קריירה טובה בטורקיה. להיות יהודי ממוצא טורקיה, להתאהב בטורקית ולהעלות את זה גרם לאנשים מסוימים אי נוחות. זו דעתי לצערי. אני מקווה שישראל תשלח את לינט ישירות לתחרות בעוד כמה שנים מבלי לשנות את מתכונת התחרות, או שהממשלה בטורקיה תשתנה ואני מקווה שטורקיה תחזור לאירוויזיון כמה שיותר מהר והאישה הנפלאה הזו תייצג אותנו.אני לא יודע עברית. ההערה שלי יכולה להיות חסרת משמעות על ידי הקלדה לא נכונה. בבקשה תסלחו לי חברים ישראלים. I understand Linet. Linet and people like Linet live in Purgatory. Sometimes it is questioned how much Jewish she is in her country, sometimes how much Turkish she can be in the country where hes family and himself roots are sprouting! If you live in a country with a different mother tongue and a different religion, you will be marginalized by that country. You go to a country where you speak your mother tongue and your religion, and there it is emphasized that you do not belong to that country at every opportunity. This is really sad but true. It is really unfair to eliminate such a perfect woman and such a voice and stance in front of such amateur artists.I never judge others as malicious. Israel has officially shot themselves in the foot with a gun. This woman would draw direct attention in Italy as a ready-made package, as a sponsor, as a voice and stance. It could leave a Shiri Maimon effect. Maybe she could be worshiped as a diva by Eurovision fans. No doubt she could get a good score. I think this woman was not chosen because she has a good career in Turkey. Being a Jew of Turkey origin, falling in love with Turkish and bringing this up made some people uncomfortable. This is my opinion unfortunately. I hope Israel sends Linet directly to the contest in a few years without changing the format of the contest, or the government in Turkey changes and I hope Turkey returns to Eurovision as soon as possible and this wonderful woman will represent us.

What a great comment. Linet is loved by many in Israel, but unfortunately the public only votes in the final. The judges don’t always reflect the Israeli public taste. Many in Israel love Turkish and Arabesque music. You have to understand the mentality of the judges and the production always preferring to promote someone new who could break into an international career. There is a sense of looking for something new. We had in Israel in the past few years famous singers competing in the preliminary competition in Israel but they never win the contest. It was just a matter of time before the excuse of “letting someone else have an opportunity” to eliminate Linet would come up. If you follow the show closely, you’ll notice that at this stage of the competition, the quarter finals, Linet is the only one left from the group of professional bands and singers. It is very frustrating for me an Israeli viewer to watch the professionals being eliminated one after the other to leave the competition for the younger generation and Sapir who is also in her 20’s but is already a recording artist. Don’t think that Linet’s elimination tells anything about the Israel public or its preferences. It doesn’t. It only reflects the judges motivation and choices.

Also, they might not be able to make money on it with a possible success.If Linet had passed this round, would the other round be the finale?If so, they eliminated her without a public vote.If so the timing is great like comedy :) Michael Ben David and Trenta Grove Machine eliminated? Actually Sapir is a great sound. Her father's family is from Izmir. If Sapir is chosen, that's why I would be happy, but when we think of Sapir and Linet, it is a little funny. The next round is the semi final. You are absolutely right about the production being unable to make money of Linet should she have won the competition. 6 made it to the Semi Final and 4 will make the finale. Michael Ben Davis is through, Trenta Groove Machine was eliminated already. Aviv Geffen tried to eliminate Sapir tonight and he will not support her because he doesn’t like Arabesque. It’s not his taste. Sapir got the highest amount of points from the audience in the studio and was saved. It’s hard to tell who is going to be chosen because the public hasn’t voted yet. In my opinion the judges will vote for Eli Huli. He is the most likely to be perceived as an international potential with his trendy sound. The Israeli public may vote for Sapir Sabah because many of us love Arabesque and Turkish music and would love to have an Arabesque song to represent us, because this is the music we prefer to listen to anyway.

Because unfortunately the judges tend to prefer younger people, they think the Eurovision belongs to younger people apparently (which is so untrue). In this episode everyone could see that they were ready to eliminate her, they suddenly didn't like the way she sings, said that it wasn't her genre (total bullshit if you ask me, she sings beautifuly no matter what). Even before the elimination I knew she is going down, no matter what she did, they marked her as the person who goes home this episode and it's just sad.

I didn't really know about her until she came to compete in this show so that's the only good thing I can say about this show and it's not like the other singers are bad, they are not they are actually great but the way the production and the judges made x factor so fake is horrible. They eliminated people that should have continued including Linet and they still had the audacity to say they love her and think she is an amazing singer (same with the other people they eliminated), it's just sad.

They basically just preferred the other guy.. They didn't like this cover, said she was singing it too big, emotionally detached, and with no personal interpertation. They really loved her second performance though.. And yet, i guess it came down to personal taste, they liked Eli better. They said she was a spectacular performer, a diva, a queen, a regal singer, etc.. Btw, Jordi (the guest judge) , who is the producer of Static and Ben El, said he would have chosen her, had he been able to vote

Oh no... Linet is soo amazing but this.. was definitely not it. Don't get me wrong, it's still veeery good. But compare it to the usual Linet-Level. Completely different. Sad. I was waiting for an amazing emotional ballad in hebrew for her in eurovision but seems like its not going to happen. And it's not only the fault of the results, also the song choice which lead to this. 🥺
