The descent from Chelfham Viaduct to Collards Bridge in the valley, must have been amazing!

Thankyou. I enjoyed that Immensely. We have holidayed in North Devon for many years and love it. So interesting to see places we know from the air. We live alongside a disused railway line in Dorset and for us it is the only decent legacy Beeching left, miles of beautiful walks.

I lived in Braunton way back in the late 1960s early 70s residing at 10b Abbotts Hill and working at Taw Garage in Barnstaple. I knew the line well... Such a shame that it was closed as today it would be a top tourist attraction making a fortune...

The L and B trust are trying to re-open it.

Very informative. I hope the line gets fully reinstated, although the Barnstaple end is much redeveloped. If you do decide to re-edit the film could you add a graphic arrow and pause momentarily at each station? I've watched it several times and still haven't located Bratton.

What a pity they couldn't have saved this highly unique narrow gauge line, located in the beautiful North Devon landscape.

I completely agree. It's so easy to destroy and so hard to create

Privileged to have worked here for 17.5 years and before any suggestions of abuse. A great school. Dr Burland a good man whose work with these lads led to many going on to better things. Don’t believe all you here about this great school. It opened back in the 1960s so something must have been worth a positive mention don’t you think?

And just what has this to do with the Lynton and Barnsaple railway?

No sound track what am I actually looking at?

Yes, I have a terrible voice. This is me trying to follow the track bed of the disused railway from Lynton to Barnstaple in Devon. I probably strayed off a few times, but not by too much. I enjoy making and watching these videos and I hope that someone, somewhere likes them too

Okay? Not sure why KZbin is recommending me a silent video of Google Earth, but here I am.

I am sorry if you're disappointed. I've followed old railways and rivers etc... on Google maps when I've had a bit of spare time and decided to share my idle moments with anyone who might be interested
