My first console purchase when I was working on the road in the oil fields. Was perfect at the time being portable.. Hsd to do the McWill model when I found out about it. Gave it a whole newlife. Then bought the SD card adapter. Did not realise all the games and mods that were available for this little machine. Thanks for bringing this back to the gaming community awareness.

Don't know if I'll ever complete it though, there's a few more that I can get for reasonable prices, but the last ten or so will be tough. And I only count the ones that have normal sized boxes :) congrats on completing the set, love the Lynx!

Atari Lynx is awesome as far as doing arcade games as faithfully as possible for such a small screen, this is one of the main things that impressed me the most about this awesome handheld which I held in high reguard back when it was new and still do (I always felt it was waaay better than the Game Gear, and even the Turboexpress which was really just a portable Turbografx) such examples being Rygar, Toki, Ninja Gaiden, Double Dragon, Hydra, and Stun Runner..btw congrats on your conquest of the Lynx catalog, definitely NOT an easy feat, ...thank you for sharing Mr. Hancock😁

I never saw a Lynx console in my life before. Hell, I didn't even know it existed. It's thanks to youtubers like AVGN and you that I learn old systems I never heard of. As a kid I had a Gameboy Pocket, then a GB Colour. I was playing Mega Drive at friends' and cousin's houses. I had an Atari clone, but that's it. My first true console was PS1. Which console is your next complete set now? They tried to port Eye of the Beholder for a handheld? Damn.

Always found it a cool machine, but I was only a teen upon release and had other things I wanted to spend my limited resources on. Definitely one of those systems that nowadays I wish there'd been more games released 'cos it is a cool system. Not sure if you're aware, but the engineers behind it are also part of the main team behind the Amiga and also the 3do. Incredible track record technically. They never designed hardware that wasn't significantly more powerful than anything else out there at their respective times.
@Gazereths12345 жыл бұрын

I think the Jaguar had roughly 80 carts (relatively low), but I could be wrong. The rare CD add-on only sold like 150k machines and only had like 15 games. Some games were subpar, hence the bad rep, but like most systems it had some rare gems.

I had about 25 games for it, and it finally succomed to screen death. I held onto it for a while but it looked like I was never going to be able to fix it. I sold the collection on ebay for the ridiculous price of $100. Now I wish I would have kept it seeing the screen refurb kits available. Oh well.

I typically am, but it is more of a functionality issue with this mod. I play the games more with this mod and the the original screen is so washed out and blurry in comparison. I will pick up an original Lynx II at some point.

Sorry but I had not so great memories of the lynx. Bought it at k Mart cause I had a little extra money from being in the hospital for 2 weeks. Hated the poor battery life and the buttons were very hard to press. Gave it to a guy I thought was my friend and even bought him a charger for it and as I did with other consoles the people I gave them to weren't my friends for very long. So be careful about giving your games away. Some of them didn't even use them and may have not even thanked me for them. Now I really miss them and can't afford to buy them back. It's better not to do too much for s relatively new friend because it won't necessarily make them your friend and moreover the gift may make them think you just want something from them and they become suspicious of you which really stinks.

I saw a Lynx in the mall back when they came out and messed around with it a little (I think it was the Version 1). I thought it was kind of interesting, but huge and clunky. I already had an original Game Boy, an SNES and a Genesis, so I had no real interest in getting it (I really wanted a Turbo Express but the price was WAY out of my league). I'm surprised the total number of games was so low, to be honest (this was Atari after all).
