I saw Lynyrd Skynyrd in Honolulu in 1977 while I was in the Army. That October while throwing my surfboard on the racks at Sunset Beach the news of the crash came over the radio. I looked at buddy Sonny and said let go ride one for the boys in 12+ Sunset. On the ride back to Schofield we said nothing.

I'm actually glad...I've always been disappointed that so many people think their displaying the "confederate flag" when in actuality, it's just the confederate BATTLE flag. Big difference. In fact, I don't recall seeing any variations of the ACTUAL confederate flag at anything except historical reenactments.

Ive been a professional musican for many years, my favorite style is Southern Fried Rock with Skynyrd being at the the thop.. then 38 Special, OutLaws, BlackFoot, and of course Marshall Tucker. I've always appreciated Skynyrd for their music but they made a pact.. and that was to never tour unless there were 3 original members.. then they fired Artimus Pyle.. they should have quit touring at that point. But as stated before.. it was about money. I still love hearing their tunes.

Are you sure this wasn't the concert that was recorded from Freedom hall, Louisville Kentucky on June 15, 2007 because if you look at it, this concert was recorded in Louisville, Kentucky?

Money is always a motivation. But the remaining guys decided to keep the music alive. The only thing they did I do not support, is make an album under the Lynyrd Skynyrd name. Plus they've changed way too many members for anyone to keep track of. Skynyrd have always been cursed legends...

love the band.. always have.. love the song.. but when band mates make a pact they should keep and preserve that pact.. but money was the motivating factor.
