Love Skynard! But that was a tough poll-great choices. Another awesome breakdown, SaD! I never thought about it, but I didn’t realize Tuesday was a person, either. I grew up with this song; I know every word. Just always felt this song maybe more than I’ve studied it. There IS such a beauty to Lynyrd Skynard. I wonder if we’d love them as much if they had all been still around or around longer and made more music as the original band? I think I probably would still💛💛💛

Epic tune! I bought the album for Freebird back in the day, but the rest of the album is my favorite now. This tune holds up as one of the best.

Their unsentimental use of strings isn't mentioned often enough, and Billy Powell from that school of stride and barrelhouse piano playing; think of Fats Waller, Meade Lux Lewis, Albert Ammons, "Pinetop" Smith, and last, but certainly not least, Professor Longhair was such a great piano player. Amazing song. Thanks for uploading this.
