I remember this song being used in bars at closing time. When you heard this song, the bar was telling you they were closing up...finish your drink, pay your tab, put on your coat, and say goodbye.

One of the best bands to ever come out of the US. I used to play this with my brother on guitar. We played so much Lynard Skynard.. Back in the day.. 80's.. I've played guitar for over 40 years and this never gets old.. What a great song. Thank you for playing this. Godspeed to you two..

Glad you liked this song. My sentiments mirror yours. I will say that Lynyrd Skynyrd's music is very authentic, they are great storytellers. The mood of their music reflects the story being told. This is sorely missing from a lot of music produced these days but we will always have this music to understand what true musicianship is all about.

I can remember seeing Rossington Collins as part of a five-band show in Orlando Florida. They played Free bird, and when the time came for the vocals, there were no vocals, just that empty microphone standing in the middle of the stage. Just an awesome experience.

Let’s not forget these guys were into the Beatles/Stones just like the rest of us during those days. I can hear the influence here, especially the ballading Stones.

Ronnie Van Zant wrote this song about his divorce from his first wife. The divorce was final on Tuesday, hence the title of the song, as Tuesday was cleverly used by VZ as a substitute for his wife's name (Nadine).

Starting to really dig your guys channel because of how transparent and raw your reactions to these great songs really are. I can tell you guys are really starting to like the southern rock stuff a lot, especially Lynyrd Skynyrd's music. Your not alone, there's millions of us across the country (Skynyrd Nation) that feel they were the greatest live band to ever grace a stage. I look back nowadays and weep at what could've been with this band if not for that horrible plane crash near McComb, Mississippi on October 20, 1977 that killed lead singer and songwriter Ronnie Van Zant, guitarist Steve Gaines, his sister, back-up singer Cassie Gaines, and Assistant Road Manager Dean Kilpatrick.

I don't think they knew how to write a bad song. I honestly can't think of one bad song from them. A lot of their worst tracks are better than others best.

Great Harmonies: Vocals and Guitars ! Rollin' drums. and then it goes orchestral ! "Train, Roll On !" I like Savio calling it a "Memorable Masterpiece." It swings and is all-time music ! Yes, she left him, and he is riding away his pain on the train - "gotta carry on".
